This thread is simply so people can discuss the handling of the topics within the FAQ I posted and offer suggestions about how to improve it, what topics need to be added, and so on. This is also the place to complain if you feel the need. This thread may not even be needed, but it is a preemptive attempt to keep the other thread from getting cluttered. Thank you.

Great idea to keep everything in one place for people to find. There is one thing, in recommendations you just say to solve the problem via die roll, that is not a solution that FAQ should provide. I would rather suggest finding the most reasonable solution in each of the topics and place it instead. Some people will agree, some disagree that is their right, but at least they will have the base to discuss.
For the ion cannon vs R2 question, it's very similar to the "hard turns are red" damage card vs R2 question, which I believe has settled into the damage card taking precedence over the R2. I would think that the Ion card is treated as a damage effect in a way, so it would also overwrite the R2
Fabster, thank you for the support. Thanks for the suggestion as well. I'd like to do as you say, but I have not the right or the power to determine which side of the discussion is correct determine which argument is 'most reasonable'. Though I admit I would love to say that it's mine. However I think you'll find that most of the Resolutions will be fairly definitively in favor of a particular ruling. For the time being I have been including the die roll as a caveat. But you're probably right, I should remove that.
However I have just run into an unexpected problem. I had assumed that I would be able to edit my posts after the fact, but I can't seem to find the option. Am I just missing something?
Eru, I agree with you. I only decided to include them separately because of ease of reference, and because I felt that there was a notable difference in that the conflicting phrases between the R2 and Damaged Engine were nearly identical where the conflict with the Ion Cannon was a bit more exclusive. I do agree with your conclusion and the relation between the two though. Thank you for the feedback.
i think ERU was referencing the "wide open" status on one and the "consensus" on the other, not that they should be together, as they should be separate, just both resolved… and i agree with him (i have a feeling this thread has the potential to turn into new arguements fast… hopefully i'm wrong, lol)
Agreed. That's actually a typo, I screwed up. I didn't review it as well as I should because it was 3am when I did that post, and also because I thought I had the option to edit my posts. I'm trying to figure out a way to fix it right now. I also copy and pasted the old suggested resolution i had and not the updated one. I'm not real sure what to do about it.
Maybe you should have typed "Do not post on this thread" in capital letters and as the very first sentence in your other thread.
You can edit only your lates post, that is without answer. So my solution would be do everything again in a single post.
Granted I'm one of the dissenters, but I really think the Expert Handling vs Barrel Roll deserves to be Wide Open. There's really no rules support for either side of the argument because the rules don't define their terms well at all which is keeping any sort of real consensus from forming.
Arctic - It was only a matter of time right? There's always that one guy….
Fabster - A solid solution. Also, probably the only feasible one. Expect this to be done by week's end. I'm going to take the time to finish the rest of the entries first. I had hoped it might become a bit more of a group project but I think it will be better off this way.
dbmeboy - I see what you're saying there. I do think the majority of people think it works a particular way, but it is one of the issues with the least clarity. I fluctuate my stance on it regularly. Consider it altered.
