I have Dragon Egg in play on a character so i can use ambush with all my Targaryen characters.
I want to bring out Brown Ben Plumm who has a gold cost of 0
If i kneel 1 influence can i bring out Ben Plumm ? I am assuming i have to kneel AT LEAST 1 influence in order to do an ambush, is this correct ?
That is not correct. The cost to ambush him is 0 influence so you do not kneel any influence to ambush him into play.
You may not overpay for costs with the exception of kneeling a card that has more influence than the amount you need to pay to trigger an effect.

Ambushing in Brown Ben Plum by kneeling 0 influence is like paying 0 gold to play Bodyguard. You have to follow the timing, but when you go to pay it, 0 is still 0.
