Talisman The City Expansion

By Velhart, in Talisman

Awesome stuff.

Fang is one powerful puppy to have and extremely hard to lose.

This would be massivley beneficial for the warrior being able to reroll 2 attack dice to determine hisattack score.

Fang is a very powerful card.

I like it gran_risa.gif

I hope that we get some news soon about the City expansion.

It´s already 21 november, and we only get one announcement.

Maybe that it will be released in February or March…

Those truly were awesome cards, Mr. Talisman Island, thanks for sharing.

They were worth the wait! I agree with Velhart that Fang is awesome. My wife and co player loves "wolvies" so I showed it to her; she being the ever cynical said:

" But you can still lose him other ways! "

at any rate, I wonder how the bounty thing will work. I liked the Dragon county card on FB, its an object, okay, a trinket - weightless object.

Will we have to lose it when we claim these trophies, or does it stay with you, some sort of quasi-legal "document" or license to kill, as it were?

That's "bounty", not county!

I think that you lose the wanted card, when you claim the bounty. In other words, if you discard dragon cards as trophies, then you gain as much gold as their strength or craft i think.

So you can become very rich

But i still have some doubts about it. 1 dragon can already be 7 gold worth! unless the trophy point is the card itself and only 1 gold worth per card, but i think it´s not the case..

Sneak Peek 8 is available for viewing on Talisman Island!

Those were nice! If I had to guess, someone gave or received a ring, that is an engagement?

But I hope we get some more details about the board or new characters or other mechanics/dynamics too.

Yes indeed… :)

My most sincere Congratulations!

And in answer to your question Jon (was it rhetorical?), yes you should revisit/update/modify Mystic Brews. IMHO it was a great concept & was a bit of a fave with my group.

The Magic Ring is interesting as it is identical to the magic ring in the base deck but is Keyworded Trinket.

I wonder if that means the Magic Ring in the base deck will be amended to trinket also. Technically it should be.

While that is an interesting thought, it leads the way to characters having lots of trinkets each with an extra strength. On the one hand (literally) many people can wear more than one ring, so potentially its possible.

Oh, i see that the forums are working again.

There was something with the reply and other buttons.

The magic ring is a good magic object, and a trinket too.

There is enough stuff to buy in the city :)

Finally The City exp gets on boat!!! I hope FFG give us some news soon…

Ok, just to get this thread going again… What alignment do you guys think the different characters will have?

Oh, it´s finally on the boat!

But still no extra news, they'll be coming soon.

Usually FFG always put news out the day after I post my complaints here.

I didn't complain this time and so far I like what I'm seeing.

Looks like The Sacred Pool just got a bit unnecessary. I mean a Stable deck in the City, plus Neutral alignment cards…

I wouldn't necessarily say unnecessary. ;)

Sacred Pool adds other benefits, like Quest Reward Cards and additonal characters (among other things). Now, if The City was out and I didn't already have The Sacred Pool, would I buy The City first? Absolutely!

I am glad that FFG made the opportunity that characters can become neutral in the city.

The Stable decks from sacred Pool can only be encountered if you draw the stable adventure cards.

With the City, you can always go to the stable.

Well maybe they should not include those stable cards in the sacred Pool expansion, but FFG has choose to do that.

Both expansions need the neutral alignment cards.
