Sorry if this has already been posted, but I feel like I'm missing something in the rulebook and would appreciate some pointers.

In the description of psychic disciplines (p.164), the rulebook says that it is much harder to learn powers from different disciplines than it is to focus on one single discipline. However, there doesn't seem to be any game mechanic accounting for this, except for the one that says if you've mastered ten powers in one discipline you can reduce the PT by 5 when using any of those powers.

Is there anywhere where it states that a psyker must choose a particular discipline and what the consequences of that decision are?

Starting at Psy Rating 4, the character can either chose a number of powers from a discipline they know equal to 1/2 their WP bonus or select 1 power from a new discipline.

Well it took me awhile to find this too, but then I found it the same place.

Have you got a page referance for that, i've just pre-plotted my character advancement so i can figure Where he'll eventually end up and to cut down on spending xp and faffing around with it all.

I've already preplotted buying some powers, but this could change the first few powers i buy and in what order, or free up points from later in the spend for other things..
