questions about Destination cards

By player1500752, in Battlestar Galactica

It can be relevant who is a Cylon when it comes to Destination cards, and choosing both which card to take, and what text to follow on a card. So,

1. Is the whole Destination card resolved before giving out the Loyalty cards in the Sleeper phase, or does the Sleeper phase happen after the Destination distance but before the resolution of the text? I have played the whole card has to be resolved. When is "distance traveled" for the sake of the Sleeper agent phase?

2. Can you pick a Destination card you cannot fully resolve, like where it says lose fuel and a raptor, if you don't have a raptor. I think you can choose the card even if you don't have the raptor. Also, if it asks you to risk two vipers, and you only have one, do you "do your best" or is it two vipers a necessary requirement? i think it is a necessary requirement. I feel unsure about all this though. Opinions?

1. Page 13 in the rules describes the procedures for jumping the fleet. Both choosing the destination card and resolving the text on it clearly comes before checking for the Cobold objective and resolving the sleeper phase.

2. You can choose a destination even if you can't fullfill the text on it. But on most (if not all?) of the cards that let's you risk raptors or vipers, the risking bit is optional. So the real question is, can you risk a raptor or viper if you don't have any? The answere is no as per page 26 in the rules. Atleast for Raptors, but I'd guess it's the same for Vipers.
