Seattle / Bellevue

By Slipstream, in Player community

Hi,

I stopped collecting the game due to lack of visible players in the area, which makes me sad. I only have cards from most of the first block and the Khazad-dum set. I know of one or two others that have said they'd be willing to get together, but it's hard to justify spending the money on this game if there isn't an actual showing of people. So I'd like to see who lives around the greater Seattle area and would want to meet at say Crossroads in Bellevue or elsewhere.

Early on, I had created this Google group, but it's seen low traction, but before I hang my hat I wanna give one more ask to the community online. Please don't be shy! PM me if you absolutely can't come out of lurking.

Thanks,

Ryan

I live out on Bainbridge Island, and this weekend is busy weekend (working from home and all that), but maybe next week I can bring out my book of Mazurbal (I collected all the sets and put them in a binder) and Dwarves Whose Names End With "I".

Sounds great, Arachne. Maybe we can work something out next Saturday. I can do anytime besides 4-7pm. You able to join that Google group or should we muster here as well?

I was able to join the Google Groups mailing list. :)

My times are very flexible on Saturdays!

To anyone interested: we're meeting at 5 at Uncle's Games in Crossroads Bellevue Saturday 10/06. If not inside, we'll be in the hall just outside the store. Look for the LOTR box standing on it's side.

Putting feelers out for those interested in playing either Saturday November 3rd or Sunday the 4th at Uncle's Games Bellevue… anyone interested? Post below or PM me. Thanks!

I'm up for Saturday preferably, but Sunday is doable too.

Gents, I'm in Seattle, and I'd love to play together some time.

I've been in the thick of busy lately, and I don't see that clearing up any time real soon.

But when things settle down a bit, I'd be quite interested in joining you.

Great to hear, juicebox! The more the merrier.

AJ, let's shoot for Saturday. Does 11am or noon sound good? I can alert the other channels (Google group, BGG, etc)

I'm sorry, Ryan, I won't be able to make it. I've gotten pretty sick this week, and I don't think I can handle the drive.

Oh, that stinks! Well hope ya get well soon! I might be able to play next weekend instead. Haven't gotten any other definite people coming so I might just cancel for this weekend. Will still be at Uncle's playing other board games that evening though if anyone is interested.

I'm not on here all too often but pretty much anything that says "Seattle/Bellevue" on a gaming site is flashing neon colors; with beer on tap for $1.

What other games do you play? I've got the core set for this one and The Taking of Osgiliath(or however it's named). So not too much to offer on this title alone.

Hi Tisroero,

My friends are down for anything that's usually a little light to medium in rules heaviness. This past Saturday the games that were played included Dixit, Say Anything, Blokus, and Lords of Waterdeep (love this game!).

I too have the Osgilliath scenario. It currently sits in my collection unplayed. Be sure to join the google group we have. I will be out of town this weekend, but if you all wanna get a meetup going, go for it!

Well, I'm on it. Doesn't seem to be too active though…

The very reason it hasn't been active is why I created this thread. We're trying to give the player base a central home. As much as possible anyways.

Hey guys! I am moving to Seattle in January and just happened to see this, If I am in town I would definitely like to play!

I just hopped into this after grabbing the core set from Go! Games in South center (love their after Christmas sales each year). If their is anyone still meeting up to play, please let me know.
