So a round (turn) in GoT is not like Magic where you can only attack on your turn. So if I'm the first active player and I just did all my challenges, my opponent has his turn to attack / challenge right after mine?
So Turns / Timing?
There are no "turns" in this game. Each round has 7 phases that all players share. It's not like there is "your Marshaling" and "my Marshaling." There is only "Marshaling." The closest thing you get to "turns" in this game is that the status of "active player" shifts to each player during the phase.
So yes, as the "first player," you start the Challenge phase as the active player do all your attacks. Then, your opponent becomes the active player (still the same Challenge phase) and does all of their attacks.
Note that there has not been a standing phase, so as first player, you'll have to be careful when you attack to leave enough standing characters to defend. Similarly, if you are the "second" player, you have to be careful not to defend with so much vigor that you are left with nothing to attack with. (Obviously, there are situations where you'd want to go all out on attack or defense when the first player is the active player, but you get the point; you have to be careful about managing your standing characters.)
Are you related to JCPenney?
I'm related to throwing stacks of cash at this game.

Where's the Like button when you need it?
BTW, if I could, I would totally buy stock from FFG. That way, each time I buy cards, I'd be basically paying myself to play Thrones. And that would be awesome!
