Ok, I am starting on a GM PC. Once I get this guy down pat, then I'll use this way to help my players out a bit. I am also using the Excel Character Creator.
Background:
I am working on a Human Outlaw Tech. The Idea is that he is after the challenge of creating better tech (mostly for ships) and wants to either overthrow the Empire or at least change it to be less tyrannical and corrupt.
Obligations:
Thinking about debt, to reflect that he owes the "local" crime lord resources for saving his life and starting up his business. Mostly making and modding various weapons and ships.
Species:
Like I mentioned, I'm going for Human. With the recent Feedback, Humans start off with 2 non-career/non-specialist skills. I picked Gunnery and Negotiation. Question: Does he start with 1 rank in each or do I still have to buy that from Experience?
Career:
Technician, with a specialization in Outlaw Tech (I am not spending experience for the Skill Ranks). For Tech, I put 1 rank into Computers, Mechanics, Perception, and Surveillance. For the Outlaw Specialization I went for Education and Streetwise. Question: Beginning of the Career it said we start off with 4 skills with a single rank in each. It doesn't say anything on Specializations. Is my character correct or am I spending ranks that I do not have access to?
Talents:
Simple enough. Spend the amount of Experience a character gets for the Talent(s) you want.
Without spending experience, is this an accurate way to create a Human character?
