Looking for Tucson area players. PM me or post on the thread!!
Arizona
I'm in Tucson as well, but I can't guarantee any regular meet-ups. I'd love to get together at least once, though. I'll PM you some time unless you get to me first.
Hey there, I'm in Tucson as well. And I spend a lot of weekends in Phoenix (Tempe). My time's pretty limited between work and kids, but I like this game and I can try to find time to meet up for some games (Mondays and Fridays during the day are usually best for me; weekends are sometimes possible but more complicated). I have models enough for 100 pts of either Rebels or Imperials.

Ditto on that one! Unfortunately, I'm using Friday as my day for field work and Monday is my dedicated family night. But if you're in town on Saturday, I might be able to meet up.
On a different note, do either of you know of any good places to play? Hat's Games seems to have lots of tables, but I haven't been there and I feel awkward playing there when I ordered all my minis online.
If any are in the East Valley, there is a place in Tempe called AZ Game Depot. They are having open play today for X-Wing. I didn't go since I was busy and just ordered my stuff yesterday, won't have them until sometime next week. Weekends are best for me as I work evenings during the week. I hope they do open play again next Saturday.
Game Depot is awesome. I have gone up there a couple of times to play the LOTR LCG. Great store, really friendly staff. As for places to play in Tucson, I could talk to one of the managers at Game Daze. We could do Hat's Games too, although I am not sure what kind of space and/or time they could give us. They seem to be pretty busy with events on the weekend, but I may be wrong.
I emailed Hat's Games a few weeks before X-Wing was released, telling them I was looking for places to meet up and have games and I asked them if they were aware of any players and whether there would be a strong community in Tucson. This was their response:
"I will be fully stocking the product to support X-Wing. As far as a community- I do belive our largest crowd will likely be our existing wings of glory crowd. http://javelinaflight.weebly.com/ Enjoy!"
So it sounds like he wouldn't mind if we played on open tables, but yeah, weekends may be hard to fit in. What is the likelihood of playing o a Thursday evening? Not ideal, I know, but would it work?
I sometimes go down to game Depot, but Imperial Outpost in Glendale is closer. I'm supposed to be there this Saturday with some X wing, it's definitely taking off in the store!
@Budgernaut-I would only be able to play on Monday or Tuesday nights, as I work during the evenings Wednesday thru Friday. I also have the weekends off.

Wish I would be able to go to Imperial Outpost. A bit too far for me as I live in way East Mesa. Sadly it looks like Game Depot is doing a MTG Pre-Release this Saturday, so not sure if they will have open play for X-Wing. They usually always do open table on Friday, but I work at night
Perhaps next week.
There is a game shop right down the street. Magic Tower Games. I'm gonna check it out this weekend, see what goes on down there. Hopefully they'll have a table or two for us to play on.
So, any word on Magic Tower Games?
Thursday nights are possible for me, especially with enough advance notice. I've been overwhelmed with work lately (no relief in sight this weekend). But I got a chance to play with some friends in Phoenix last weekend, and it's way more fun than playing by myself, so I'm keen to meet up for more games.
According to Hat's Games' website, the only time for bring-and-play-anything is after 10:00 pm on Tuesdays. That's not looking really hopeful for me.
I'll PM you guys to ask this too, but do any of you Arizonans know of a game store hosting a Kessel Run? If it's on Friday or Saturday, I'll totally try to make it!
Game Depot in Tempe is doing the Kessel Run at 12:00 noon on Saturday the 15th with a $10 entry fee.
Amazing Discoveries in Tucson is doing the Kessel Run at 12:00 noon on Saturday the 15th with a $5 entry fee.
Unfortunately, that means we won't be able to do two different tournaments, but I hope to see you other Tucson players at Amazing Discoveries in two weeks!
