Say I successfully bring Cat out using her text and then at some point after in the challenges phase an opponent blanks her text box. Does she still go back into hand at the end of phase as Cats triggered effect went through successfully at the time of triggering.

I think she does, but its come up a couple of times in game and we just wanted clarification.

She comes into play with the "return to hand" effect already on her and pending. That is, the lasting effect is created by the same effect that put her into play. The continued "presence" of the text that you triggered while she was in hand is not needed to return her to hand. The effect is already there.

Look at it this way: say I have a character that says "Challenges:kneel 1 influence to give this character +1 STR until the end of the phase." I kneel an influence to give it +1 STR. Then I blank the character. Does it lose the +1? No, because the effect is already there. Catelyn is the same way.
