That is exactly the reason to reveal as a cylon if you are in the brig, since you are limited in your actions, including moves.

The only thing you need to have in mind is that if you reveal in the brig, you cannot activate the special action in the loyalty card.

You can't move as in you can't use the 'move' part of your turn. However, if you take an action, like activating the skill check to get out of the brig, or the action on your You Are A Cylon card, then the instructions on the card will tell you to move, which is fine. I say this, because you can never just 'move' to the Cylon part of the board unless you use your reveal action on your Cylon card.
