Web content for BattleLore on FFG's site - any word?

By toddrew, in Battlelore

Looks like DoW finally pulled the plug on all the BL goodies they had on their website. I know that email is proported to get a better response than a post, but I think this is a good topic for public consumption - any word about when/if the BL content that DoW had developed and was planning on developing will make it over to the FFG site?

The piece I was most intrigued by was the online play. I love Vassal, but if done right through FFG, could attract a lot more players.

Thanks for the ear,

Todd

Todd, I have emailed FFG since October and have gotten the big silence treatment. But that should come as no surprise since I guess they think us BL people are use to that type of BS marketing treatment - but then at the same time, makes you wonder why they bought the game if they will continue the same marketing ploy as well. So saying that email would work better has NOT been the case - and I sent quite a few emails to them, sadly.

Would be curious where you did see there would be an online version of the game - that is news to me!

p.s. just because you can't access Battlelore from the main page from DoW doesn't mean the content is gone. You can still type

http://www.daysofwonder.com/battlelore

and still get to the content. Some people are so use to going from the home page...<smirk> but of course I doubt those pages might last any longer though.

I had always accessed the BL content from the url www.battlelore.com , and this morning it wasn't working - but that may just been my machine. Able to access it just fine right now. Still would like to see FFG get that stuff up here :)

They announced to switch off BL on 15th February.
But it still works. Even the Scenario-Editor!

Yeah, I usually go there once every couple of days to noodle around - went sunday morning and while I was able to access other sites (i.e. didn't think it was just a bad connection on my end), couldn't get the BattleLore site to come up. I didn't think to try DoW's main site to see if maybe they just had their whole shindig down for a bit. Still kicking right now :)

Yeah, and they said heroes would be out in 2007! If they're as good at keeping their deadlines as in the past, that would mean we'll have the scenario editor for at least another two years!! demonio.gif
