like everyone has said before you need to play the game to know how good it really is for you

Ive played many card games over the years(magic, yu-gi-oh, dragonball z, magination, and probably many others) but i feel that this is the best game in terms of the player base ive met some of the most awesome people through this game going to big tournaments and such, its probably the most diverse game in turns of cards you can run and deck ideas you will see....

Once you get really into it though the card interactions and combos can blow your mind but the possibilities are endless and thats what i like about it the most

Id say find out where the closest playgroup is to you and learn more about the game and the people that play so you can get into the swing of things much easier....and tell your friends the more the merrier

That is fine, we are just asking for a playable deck that you are not using anymore nothing special. You will find quite a few ex YU-Gi-Oh players already here, welcome to the club.

awesome, i didnt want to give up my other deck because of all the memories. so its good to know that the otheer two will work, i tried my best with the cards not in my favorite deck, so like i said they arent horrible, not exactly tournament material but they can do some damage

so are the starter decks just totaly random, or is there a certain number of good starter decks (mai, sagat, ken) mediocre decks (sakura, akuma, yoshitora) and a certain number of bad (haohmaru, rock howard)? or is it based upon what you send in. if you send in a tournement winning deck do you get mai or sagat, if you send in 60 random comons, do you get rock howard or hoahmaru?

i am talking about the decks, not the chars. you should no what i think of akuma, he is my favorite block three character. sakura is a beast also, yoshitora is good just not my style, and haohmaru is solid i just think all 3 of his symbols have better options. I am just saying as far as starter decks, i would much rather get mai, (rejection gorgeous team) sagat, (tiger fury), or ken (kaz reppa).

Sakura would be fine... her foundation isn't good but the character and the attack are both worth it.

yeah shes good and her attack is to but just not good enough when theres stuff like personal style, kaz reppa and rejection/g. team running around in starters

Yea rock is much maligned, however he is one of the few character in the game that can run experenced combatant off void and still get 2 cards. Using his form he can add cards to his hand after his turn to fuel your foundation committal and then commit your crap on a turn where everything will be more difficult for you to play because of the ability. Their is some synergy there to be sure.

Disdain and the character card have much potential to be realised, maybe the next few sets will show us how.

actually, the Rock Howard starter isn't that bad... you can pretty much swap out a couple cards, and swap Rock for say Donovan*** and you've got a playable (though not necessarily top tier or anything) Order deck.

i meant the majority of the cards IN the starter, not Rock himself =P. but yes, his starter version pales in comparison to his promo version, and switching starter Rock for promo Rock would make the deck run a lot better, just as swapping starter Rock for Donovan3 would like i mentioned.

But when (is) will promo rock be legal?

Basically at some point Rock Howard will be released as a card of the month.

Most of the episode is Scuba badgering Paul for something he outright says "I can't speak about that right now." And Scuba tries to attack it from every angle to get Paul to "give him the goods"

It's basically a 45 minute waste of time where the only new information you find out is that Rock Howard will be the card of the month.

Akuma's amazing. Yoshitora is alright. Sakura is meh. Very meh. Very, very, very meh. She's only as good as the cards that you put in the deck, whereas say... Akuma is a better (in my opinion) BRT and a better TYPFG all rolled up into one. I've had this discussion on these forums before, and everyone will cite her top eighting nationals, but that's an All Wall deck back before All lost Addes and Military Rank. Yep, Sakura's pretty good when she's fishing $40+ cards every turn, otherwise you're better off going with a character that's got an ability that's not so dependent upon your deck, and can therefor actually SYNERGIZE with the deck, instead of just being a tacked on way to make sure your really expensive cards end up in your staging area.

As far as the best Starter decks right now... it's Akuma hands down. Maybe Mai second. As for the most valuable, I'd say Mai or Sagat, but Sagat doesn't play too well right out of the starter.

Ya Mai is the best hands down her rares are staples above any of the others . Her character card is also amazing an evil character with that much recursion is just so dumb . Akuma might be a little better but his rares are pretty meh plus mai gives you the chance of pulling cards like red lotus and ichi no tachi.
