One of our players got turned into a Toad. They think that after three turns they will get back everything that gets dropped. I say they're wrong because the rules say nothing about them getting the stuff back, but they countered by saying the rules don't say they don't get their stuff back.
As for the mercenary, can the ability be used after the die roll in combat, or does it have to be used before?

It actually does state it on the card:
When you return to normal, your character will be as before, minus Objects, Followers, gold, fate, and lives lost while a Toad.
In regards to the Mercenary, yes it must be used before the combat die is rolled.

It's amazing how reading comprehension fails after midnight. I've read that card and never saw that final part. Maybe I need new eyes! Thanks!
