Over here swarm builds are laughed at and really suck very horribly, with a straight 0 win record by whoever even thinks about trying it out. Then again, we are playing with 2-3 core sets worth of obstacles in a 3x3 play area, so TIEs really drop like flies.

No one cares about non-standard rules. Anyone can come up with a set of rules that screws over a play style, that's not impressive in the slightest.

wow that post was like from so long ago. anyways, we're playing by standard stuff now, and still pretty much the same story, simply because most of the TIE swarm players have no real idea on how they should be moving their TIEs, so they are still dropping like flies.

That sounds more like a player issue than it does a list issue. Playing imps has a steeper learning curve than rebels, but with the new stuff coming out I really doubt we see many 8 tie fighter lists

I have only played a couple of small games so far, but i'm noticing that its pretty darn tough to kill an x-wing. I have just been trying to get several ties in close to hammer the same x-wing at the same time, but the shields and R2d2 fixing the shields seems to really make it a tough job.

I was just wondering if anyone had some tips on properly using tie fighters? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Thanks, Aaron

I have no idea!! It really seems the X-wing is too over powered, but then again im new to the game.

These are from FIVE years ago...

Even then people were griping about X-wings!

I rarely use add-ons to the ships I use, I find it too easy to forget an enhancement in the heat of battle!

My one bit of sage advice is to give the Tie an Evade action if there is anything even remotely likely to be able to shoot at it, or a Focus if safe.

LoL. X-Wing's when they were OP.
