Yup. I got the same. I understand that mistakes happen. It all comes down to how well they clean up the mess. In my case, they're doing fine so far. I should get my second starter by the 28th which is when I have my first scheduled game with one of the locals. Sounds like they had some logistical problems getting all these preorders sorted out. I wonder if the same guy who pulled your order pulled mine. I wouldn't be too suprised if there was some burnout involved. Either way somebody's quality stats just took a hit.

Got my second core set and expansion packs yesterday, just need to set up a play area.

I am aware that I'll be bumping this post up a few pages but took delivery of the Core set today. Played a couple of quick start games with the kids and itching to get onto the full game.

First impressions…

Definitley worth it even if just for the 1 hour playing with my kids

Got mine from Miniature Market today. 2 Core Sets , 2 Advanced Ties, 1Tie, 1 X-wing & 1 Y-wing.

Let me tell you this, their is a lot of pieces to this game an organizer is a must have.

1 starter and 1 each of the others, from Miniature Market. I had to cancel my dice as well of course, and this was done with no problems, within about a day.

I got some very unfortunate news today. I was told by the online retailer I ordered from that the preorder wouldn't be released until 10/7. I asked if they were holding the order because of the dice and they said yes. I asked if I could cancel the dice and get the rest and they told me that I could do that on 9/30 but the order would be more than the preorder price. I asked if they could just hold the dice for a future order and they said no. So I'll have to wait like 2 more weeks for them to ship it plus 3-5 days to get it. Sucks for me.

Got mine today, though it wasn't an online order - I picked it up from my FLGS.

well it's finally reached the UK, it seems to be available every where, except the place where I ordered from!

I walked home past a games shop to see a whole store window full of blisters and boxes. My email in box is bursting with emails from the various on line stores I use. A quick phne call to Maelstrom games and gutted. No we don't have it yet, can't say when we will get it, might have it this week might not.

YOU SUCK MAELSTROM! Great prices, great deals lousy service.

Was so tempted to cancel the order and pick it up elsewhere.

FINALLY got my order from Miniatures Market; once I figured out and resolved the DICE debacle (I had them delete the dice), the order actually arrived very quickly; two days by brown truck. That's pretty good.

Haven't had time to mess with it before work, though, other than fondling the three base miniatures. They are indeed sweet - and fragile!

I saw your post and I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but I thought I should warn you.

There's a thread on a different forum about Maelstrom and people there are getting very worried. They've checked the accounts of Maelstrom and:

• They're £567,000 in debt to suppliers
• The company seems to be moving to a new business for some reason
• Customers have been waiting 5+ weeks for their order and Maelstrom have either ignored their questions or have been unable to answer them
• Customers have had to go through Paypal to get refunds or have been left waiting and have had to email multiple requests
• They have stopped participating, in and answering questions on other wargame forums

Dave and Adams card world. I found it through Amazon but wasn't one of their regular retailers. Really wish I would've gone through Miniatures Market but didn't know about them beforehand. It just sucks because apparently they're not filling the preorders but on their site they're showing the core set as in stock but told me the expansions aren't available until 9/30 and the dice aren't available until 10/7. Just really bummed out as I was able to get a core set locally but really want the extra expansions and stuff. Oh well live and learn.

After forgetting my second Core Set and Y-wing expansion, Miniature Market finally came through and my missing ships were delivered yesterday. Now I've got more ships than I know what to do with (though admittedly not as many ships as others).

My core set, Y-Wing and TIE Advanced turned up today, 2nd core set on the way.

I cancelled my order with Maelstrom who couldn't tell me when they were going to get any stock. Ordered 2 box sets from IGUK and the blisters elswhere at 25% off. Now I just have to wait for it all to arrive.

My 13th Floor order arrived today, two core sets, two Y-Wings, and one of the other three. It would've been yesterday, had I been in to take delivery.

Shame I'll have to wait until Monday to get the first game in…

I got my Order Fix yesterday from Miniature Market. They even spent more on shipping to get it to me faster than the usual 5 day UPS ride. MM's Customer Service has my full approval.

So I now have both starters and one of each expansion. I can finally play a full 100pt game with my Imperials!

@ Nalydd I placed my order with IGUK yesterday at around 12 noon, I upgraded to first class post for 89p and both box sets arrived today! That's the 3rd order I have placed with them in two weeks, very fast delivery times, very good communication. The blisters are on the expensive side but the box set is only £25.50
