that's what I did all of the grinders and teams at worlds this year. threw in Circling Wing as well, and my foundation base was off of Air. I turn one'd I think 8 or 9 times over the course of the weekend... and almost always killed by turn 2. One of the few exceptions was the cervantes deck that got 3rd, I managed a draw with him after killing him turn 3 with 0 foundations but lots of momentum thanks to him putting it there for me to use with Spike, since I saw no Kunai all game.

Luise + Feline Spike + Kunai is brutal. throw another attack in there and the majority of 6hs'ers are down for the count too.

water to me can be the main symbol of your deck if you can splash in a little more control. like water/order is amazing. water and good are nice b/c you get lotus etc.

water/air is THUGGED OUT. you get inhuman to help protect you etc. but no answer to birdman kills you.

shooting cap and chesters can be really good and all that, but like nfxon(ben) said, no answer to bird equals symbol not winning in b3, it's just how it is.

I'm currently playing a Water Mai B3 build at the moment, and am actually finding it to be pretty powerful. Olcadan's may be Water's biggest weakness, but the age-old argument stands, try not to rely too much on your foundation base. I have found that a lot of Water characters, like Mai and Morrigan have the ability to survive many an onslaught, while Alba has Olcadan protection of his own, Soiree can grab double-time out of his foundations so long as he's attacking and has momentum (which isn't as difficult as one might think).

I would agree though, that Water isn't quite as powerful as it could be if it did have Olcadan's defence. But then, doesn't this say more about Olcadan's Mentoring than it does about Water?

i'm saying pure water can't deal with it. i know those can off the air splash. i guess i should have hit enter to seperate them. but even so off the air splash it will take you longer to get them out, so you might get fudged still.

I dont think i agree. If your deck can go off turn 2 you may be better suited not to run them. That being said if you have a lot of speed 3 attacks it might be amazing, I dont know. In either event sideboard for sure.

Air Stampede is the asset-only, watered-down version of iSpin. Pop an asset for the chance to hit two of theirs.

But yus. Lack of defense is a problem in the meta. But that indicates more the stupidity that is Olcadan's, really.
