Alrighty here are my topics for the day.

1. I attempted to play No Quarter and Die by the Sword after winning a military challenge with Maege Mormont. My opponent said that I could only do "one response per trigger"; Maege was both my only participating unique and my only sword crest. I think I would have been able to play them both; I understand that you can only activate a response once per trigger, and I believe he may have gotten confused with that rule, but these were two separate responses.

2. My opponent attacks me with two deadly characters. I defend with just Ghost of Winterfell and consequently he must die to deadly. Can I trigger his response? I believe so, but we weren't sure.

There was more stuff but I can't remember right now.

1. You are correct. They are seperate responses that can be triggered from the same effect - you winning the challange.

2. Yes, he is moribund:dead but you are still able to trigger his response.

The "One Response per Trigger" rule is worded as follows:

(2.4) Responses Per Trigger
If a response or passive ability is triggered, the
effect can only occur once per trigger. For
example, if Sansa Stark (CORE S9) is in play
and you play an attachment on her, Sansa
Stark's effect (draw a card) can only be
triggered once. (If a second attachment is
played on Sansa Stark, her ability can be
triggered again.)

So "one Response per trigger" is measured from the response's point of view, not the trigger's.

This is why I dislike the "one response per trigger" formula so much. In short, THERE IS NO "one response per trigger" rule. There is a "each response only once per trigger" rule. Ktom quoted it from the FAQ. I wish people would stop talking about "one response per trigger", because it is an incorrect rendition of the actual rule and as such leads inevitably to faulty reasoning like the one above.

Thanks for the answers guys. Here was another one:

Are income/initiative modifiers and influence considered to be part of the text box on a location (or any card)? I believe so, but I had a guy who said that they were "not text" (which admittedly is true enough).

I suggest a read through of the FAQ again. They are indeed part of the text box.
