Proof of Purchase?

By HurricaneDitka, in Fantasy Flight Supply

When I purchased Deadwood, Talisman, and The Adventurers:Pyramid of Horus, there were proof of purchases. What are these used for, if even at all? I am only asking since they were pop-out pieces and one which could be cut-out from the rule book. Can anyone fill me in?

I assume they're there as a proof of purchase for whatever version it is you bought?

I could be wrong as I'm fairly new to this scene, but I imagine if you have some first edition that goes out of print and becomes quite valuable in the future, then such a token would be a worthy thing to keep safe.

If anyone else happens to look at this thread, I actually emailed FFG regarding keeping the proof of purchases for all my x wing products and I was told they have no value other than keeping them for collectors sake..
