Quickie on Voldo (one for Omar...)

By MegaGeese, in UFS Rules Q & A

Voldo4
R: After your opponent adds cards to their hand during the Combat Phase, you may either draw X cards, or your opponent discards the top X cards of their deck. X equals the amount of cards added to your opponent's hand.

Easy question. Voldo responds after an activation of an ability that has both players draw then discard/RFG (in this example, Blind Stance). Would Voldo's effect resolve before the second part of the effect (in the case of Blind Stance, would it be both draw, opponent discards, then both players RFG), or after the effect completely resolves (draw, RFG, then discard)?

I'm fairly certain it's the former; just checking my maths.

With your example (i.e., Blind Stance), Voldo would respond after the cards are added/drawn but before any cards are removed from play.

Voldo4 responds immediately after your opponent adds cards to their hand during the Combat Phase. In other words, he responds mid-resolution of an effect that causes your opponent to add cards to their hand, or if the adding part of the effect happens last, then Voldo would respond after that effect resolves.

Mmm, 'tis what I thought.

Excellent.

Void patch is *mine*. I'll make Omar proud!

uhm ok? go... get'm... tiger?
