I just gotta say the preview pictures released through Talisman Island is a really nice treat for Talisman fans. Great job to to both FFG and the staff at talisman Island for putting in the extra work. Im sure a lot of people appreciate it.

I am glad that people like them and am extremely grateful for the generosity of FFG in letting me show these off to people. The artwork is particularly stunning once again for this expansion.

As for staff, well it's just little old me, though each and every person who has contributed to Talisman Island should be considered a part of it! I really don't think that just altering a bit of html code should be considered anything special. I am just pleased to be able to share my passion for the game!

I for one appreciate it. I also enjoy a lot of the other things on the island. You know FFG... an official "island" expansion might be a nice homage, and a possibility for the game to hit some new notes. There's already a river, it has to let out to sea someplace...

It's good to know that the site is appreciated to be honest, but it really is the contributors that make the site. I just try to make features of what I would like to see if I was visiting the site!

I think it would be cool to get Talisman Island ( the expansion ) to a greater audience, but it would need an awful lot of work. It stemmed from a time when I was young(er) and not so sensitive to the requirements for making an interesting or even halfway decent expansion! It turned out as a hodge-podge of ideas that could have worked an awful lot better if I had taken the time.

As an "interesting" aside, Talisman Island ( the site ) was born out of a need to e-publish the expansion after a bit of cajoling by members of the Talisman Yahoo Group after I had joined and mentioned I had a few ideas for expansions some years before...

Believe it or not (and it surprised me) that was some 10 years ago! You may have noticed in my signature a date stamp which was from my post to the Yahoo Group saying that the expansion had been uploaded. Over the next few months I uploaded a few more bits and pieces and offered others a place to host cards and... well... it kind of took off a bit.

The preview images for the new Dungeon expansion have worked out rather well actually as the last set will be published on Monday night.

If anyone is interested, I will be running a small competition to mark the anniversary based on a piece of artwork that will be uploading which, funnily enough, has big connections with the original Talisman Dungeon expansion!

You will be required to make a character, based on that artwork, for the Revised 4th Edition and there will a prize for the best entry received after a couple of weeks. All entries will then be displayed on Talisman Island for all eternity! It will be run a little like the old Dragon Masters competition I ran, but only having one round!

I will be posting a bit more about it over the next couple of days and I hope it is something that people will enjoy entering. I will be posting news at the FFG forums and the Yahoo Group and entries will be have to be sent directly.
