It is possible that this is all a conspiracy by Star Trek fans to cause Star Wars fans heads to explode. I suspect that there is no offical release date so no one can complain if it's a couple days late or not.

But it seems to be pretty solid that it's going to be shipping in the next 10 days. Sooner is better, but as long as it hits my doorstep by the 28th, I'll be a happy camper.

Did you guys see that post on BGG ? Some guys says he just picked it up at Target. I checked the store locator, and sure enough, some Target stores appear to have them in stock. Why did Target get it before the real game stores?

It's not available online at Target. I also did a search of several cities in 3 different states (CA, AZ, and CT) and all said they were out of stock. Anyone else have any luck?

Well, when I used the store locator from the X-Wing page on Target.com and typed in West Lafayette, IN, it pulled up a couple of stores in Indiana (one in Indianapolis) that said it was "in stock."

I just did a search for West Lafayette, IN and sure enough it says in stock at a few locations. Anyone have a visual to confirm this? One report can be a fluke, but if others are actually seeing it I'm hopeful. I may even go and buy one just to get my hands on it sooner. Maybe that's the point.

Be aware that the TARGET Stores that DO have them "in stock" or in "limited stock" may just have the Core Set, and not any of the Expansions.

I'm thinking about giving the two stores on Indy's north side a call tomorrow to confirm, or not that they have the game actually in stock.

When I had my own game store from 2002-2005 mass market stores regularly received product and had it on the shelves before its official release date. This happened to us with LOTR stuff and Barnes & Noble. They aren't supposed to release it till a certain date, but they are so big people don't bother them, which is why I looked for this game at Target when I was there today! No luck at the one by my house, but according to the locator there are some available within a few miles here in St. Louis.

Whether or not Miniature Market is willing to admit this is the week of it's release, all X-Wing items have sold out as of today according to their website. When I checked this morning only the Y-wing was sold out, and there was about 20 core boxes and a dozen each of the other expansions still available. The masses are chomping at the bit to get this thing.

I was doing a little B-Day shopping last weekend and hit two different Target Stores in my area and not a sign of the game. They have started to carry a handful of non-traditional games such as Munchkin and Settlers of Catan, but they are far from my goto source for games just yet. Also hit an actual game shop and comic shop that also carries games with equal lack of success.

Im not holding my breath for this game. I preordered it in early MAY! the anticipation is killing me. I dont really understand why FFG cant give an intended date, with a little disclaimer saying that actual date may slightly vary based on location/distance from FFG. they could at least give the date when they will begin shipping. Instead they seem to constantly refer back to the validity of their upcoming page, which (as mentioned before) lists the core as being released 3 months ago… Due to this I have no expectations that the game will even be released this month and will not roll over into Q4.

None of the targets here in Western Washington have it yet according to their website. I wonder if this will only be available regionally or if it's just a case of it taking longer for product to travel through their distribution system to get to the coasts.

Also, the two I hit this last weekend didn't have a lot of space dedicated to games. Also, I wasn't aware that they had a trading card section vs. boardgames. That might also be a regional thing?

Just another advantage of having a fuzzy release date. You can release it and not have to worry about staggering the delivery such that everyone has product on the specific date.

For anyone in the Midwest, I just hit up Chicagoland Games: The Dice Dojo regarding when they'll have it in store and got the following response!

"First we have to get the actual game, we will be receiving the game plus the ]Y-Wing and TIE Advanced expansions on Thursday. The next set of expansions including the Millennium Falcon are set for December."

well my local game store says he will have it on Thursday, but since I do deliveries for work I will check out a fwe Targets over the next couple days and report my findings.

I just picked up a box from a local Targetm so I can confirm that they are out in the wild… Granted I had to go to 3 local stores to finally get one…. /grumble

They are definitely at Targets in St. Louis as well.
