Hi, this time I have a question, as we're playing tonight, this came up:

I defeat a Bronze Dragon, Strenth 8, at Night (so +1 = 9) because there was a slumber on it, so reduce 3 = 6. I'm the Amazon and I have Strength 4.

I was under the Quest to deliver a 7 or 8 point trophy to the Warlock, but the Dragon King's scale is on it. If I teleport there I have to ignore turning in the trophy and have to pull the King's card. Right? I have to move away and then be teleported back - until the scale is gone, or a different Lord is the Dragon King?

When you complete a quest and are teleported back you don't really encounter the space as I see it. It's more like you get your reward and your turn ends.

You were then immediately teleported to the Warlock's Cave and received a Talisman as your reward (or a quest reward, if you were playing with the Sacred Pool) and your turn then ended. It did not make any difference that there was a dragon scale on the Warlock's Cave space or indeed if there was another character on the space, as your turn ends as soon as you receive your reward. See the evidence below (taken directly from the latest official FAQ):

Q1: When a character completes a warlock quest and teleports to the Warlock’s Cave to receive the reward, can he accept another quest or encounter a character that he lands on?

A: No. Once a character is teleported to the Warlock’s Cave and gains a Talisman, his turn ends; he cannot encounter the space or any character in the space.

Thanks to both of you for your quick responses. I am still of the mind that a current Dragon King's scale 'forces' you to ignore all text written on a space, as well as cards etc. I'm not arguing, but the FAQ cited doesn't seem to take that into account.

Is the Dragon Scale of a King able to override the Warlock's reward, once placed on the Cave?

No. You only encounter the dragon scale on the Warlock's Cave, if you land there as part of your normal movement, not as a result of completing a quest! See page 10 of the Dragon Rulebook under "Encountering Dragon Scales".
