2 Champs and a Chump Episode 78- Harsh Mistress Review and more GenCon info
Haven't listened to the episode yet, but I have a more open mind about LRJ than most people I've talked to. I have a deck with it that I'm gonna try out on Monday, hopefully.
Is it just me or are you guys just wallowing in your explicit rating lately?
Nice episode, although I still don't know how to feel about a lot of the cards in the pack, particularly Ghost of Winterfell and Watcher of the Nightfire.

I agreed with you guys that Maege Mormont could be a very interesting card. I'm currently testing out a very Shagga deck that abuses her and shadows. Could be fun could be crap.
Is there a way to stream distribution of this that im not aware of? I really enjoy your content, but it is a sufficient enough pain in the ass to download the file and tranfser it to my phone that i rarely have the motivation to listen (where if i could stream it id listen to every one).
I use the Instacast app. Both 2x1x casts are on there.
@dcdennis-I tested subscribing some time ago with the podcast app that I use on my android phone- Pocket Casts. I know that DoubleTwist is also very popular (all in one media player) and that Doggcatcher (podcast only) is very popular. Should be able to subscribe and stream with one of the above, and I'm sure iPhone has some equivalents if you have one but don't want to use iTunes.
@Shenanigans- Yeah, the guys said that if we have it, we might as well use it like HBO and boobs, but I'll see if we can't tighten it up a bit.
I'm not sold that Ghost of Winterfell will be draw very often, but particularly in Stark murder builds, I think it's going to be amazing to help close in and destroy people's hands as you wreck their board. And heck, even if they defend on intrigue, you're probably going to draw, which still increases that card differential. Regardless, the Ghost is best on intrigue by a LONG shot.
The Watcher on the other hand, I'm very interested to experiment with. Fits in so well with a number of themes.

~ Potential, but fragile, card draw for Baratheon that doesn't depend on TLS, requires some thought, and possibly fills a major hole in the House without jumping them immediately into Martell-ian levels of stupidity? What's the issue?
The fragility (1 Strength, two vulnerable traits for Ghost, 2 Strength for Watcher) really bugs me, although I also don't care for cards that have a higher gold cost than their Strength unless they have a higher Strength (like 3) and thus less vulnerability, or a more powerful/reliable effect or combination of effects
You also mentioned how these cards are potential draw. I much prefer more reliable draw effects, with the gold standard (pun intended) being Golden Tooth Mines. I think these cards are good, potentially excellent in the right deck, but I would like to see them in action.
~It is easily the worst 2/1 'Ghost of X' card currently available…
Pretty bleh pack, especially the plots. Bleh Bleh Bleh. Stark got a good card (~after already winning GenCon, broken!), as did Lanni (*I'm chilling at the V Inn…hanging with all of my friends*)…and not much else. It is okay though, not every CP has to change the game…
Which card are you referring to? Maege Mormont can't use her ability in a deck with an Agenda.

Which is fine - many Stark decks either use the character agenda (early she usually 'goes off' before the character agenda, otherwise she is still solid) or none at all. Some decks won't use her at all (Stark Knights, Maester) but some will. War crest isn't horrible either.
Yea. I plan to have one of her in my Bear Island/Kindly Man deck. I find Kindly Man is almost never my agenda until late game… It's really odd, but it makes her better.
