Unnatural Abilities - Agility

By Iron2, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

So I have a Death cult Assassin that has taken Unnatural Agility *2. In reading the Unnatural Characteristics in the Dark Heresy book [p332], it looks to me that all that is multiplied is the bonus. So with an agility of 56, and a bonus of 5, the Unnatural Agility *2 gives her a bonus of 10. My question is: what is the bonus used for and is that all that unnatural characteristics do?

Currently, she goes first every battle, but that is it

Or am I missing something?

ahh never mind, I found the search function of these forums.

1. Initiative 10+1d10 (+plus talents, remember that lightning reflexes dont double your unnatural bonus, only normal so 15+1d10). In case of ties you have huge bonus.

2. You can dodge weapons with blast quality up to 10.

3. With unnatural characteritics you get auto succeses when pasing skill test based on agility, and characteristic tests too. I think that with unnatural x2 you get two additional DoS when passing a test. Then, I think you got +10 to opposed tests. I don't remember where it was thou.

thanks, I was reading the historical posts in the forums and you summed it up nicely!

thanks again

The Agility bonus boost means you can dodge massive blast radiuses if need be. As far as I can remember, that is about it. The main boost you get for Unnatural Agility x2 is the +2 Degrees of Success in some opposed checks, and the fact that you essentially get a +10 to all non-opposed uses of the Agility skill (it reduces the difficulty of Agility based checks by one degree, which includes dodge!). However, this last benefit is only explained in the Inquisitor's Handbook…

boritan is right. Additional DoS are only in opposed tests, and normal tests are one step easier for each unnatural.
