Been 8 months since last one, i thought we would at least get an inkling by now.
No word on next deluxe box yet?
No word that I've seen, not even word that there will be any more deluxe boxes.
Might be "Clash of Kings" as a deluxe box, for all we know.
Well worlds is coming up, maybe they will tickle our collective ass with a feather at the event.
base on the art of playmat of 3rd game night kit, will house florent return?
Still lots of minor houses to explore.
Stark - House Umber, House Karstark, House Mormont, House Glover
Lannister - House Clegane, House Redwyne, House Payne, House Brax, House Tyrell
Baratheon - House Florent, House Tyrell, maybe House Arryn
Targaryen - ummm…Unsullied?
Martell - House Dayne, not really any others extant now…
Greyjoy - House Harlaw, House Botley, House Blacktyde
After typing "house" over and over, it really strikes me as a funnily-spelled word. I had to look it up. Has that ever happened to anyone else?
well they definitly have options, its worth pointing out that both Greyjoy and Martell are still about 40 cards behind the other 4 houses in total card count
id like to see a expansion on the different Faiths of Westeros

I'd like to add:
Stark - House Reed
Greyjoy - House Goodbrother
Neutral - House Frey(maybe for House Stark), House Hightower, House Royce(guess it can be House Arryn)
Martell - House Yronwood possibly.
Baratheon - House Estermont

It actually happened to me with the word "bread". No idea why or how.

i think thats very possible, considering the faith being more and more prevalent in GJ and Bara
My cousin actually proposed a Night's Watch expansion, and I have to say it's an interesting idea
I would love to see some of the more Nedly themes get a boost - Night's Watch, Wildlings, Brotherhood, Kingsguard, Dragons, among others. It would be great if those were the types of decks that won championships, since they are strong and important in the books. Great characters like Jon Snow and Tyrion deserve better cards. How about a Night's Watch themed Tyrion? I think it's great that The Red Viper and the LOTR Cersei are such great cards for their houses as it represents the books well.
I've always been a fan of deluxe expansions being similar to the MTG planeswalker duel decks. Have a deluxe box that is Night's Watch v. Wildlings, or Robb Stark v. Tywin Lannister. Now that all the Houses have their own boxes (aside from Martell and Greyjoy being a little behind) I'd like to see flavorful expansions rather than (mostly) house-specific.

Well ive always been a fan of the idea of doing an expansion called "Roberts Rebellion" or the "The War of the Ursurper", having young versions of characters and some of the characters specific to that time period, hell they could do 2 boxes, Stark Greyjoy and Baratheon and Targaryen Martell and Lannister for that time period
After reading a thread on another site that stated "Neutral faction doesn't get much love", I thought perhaps that might be an idea for the next deluxe expansion. It could center around the Night's Watch theme that seems to be requested often, but also have other powerful cards that literally anyone could play. Or perhaps even some "Neutral Faction only" cards?
House Arryn, Tyrell and Night Watch aside, a trait focused deluxe box seems unlikely. Sub-houses are cool but which provide enough characters/cards to fill a box? How many of those cards have mainstream appeal? (which seems to make FFG printing shy if the past few CP's repeated use of central characters is any indication)
More over, is having characters with those traits more important than just having the characters with general traits? Did the recent Yronwood Lord need the Yronwood trait or would that just make us feel like we were never getting enough Yronwood trait cards build that cool Yronwood theme deck? What coherent theme deck could the design team build for the House Mormont trait? It has 5 cards already but only the vaguest of mechanical overlaps (Maege could grab Bear Island / Maege and Host of Bear island are 3 cost war crest cards…) Heck, the design team didn't even give House Reed's army the House Reed trait ![]()
Of the 3 more likely traits, House Arryn is the least represented in the current pool AND had a host of cards and mechanics in the pre LCG post-reload CCG. They certainly have enough characters, locations, etc. represented all throughout the series and it does seem strange that they haven't been represented yet. It may simply be that their CCG era mechanic didn't convert as easily to the LCG environment as, say, Clansmen's did. Hopefully they get some love but who knows? Maybe the HBO version is FFG's equivalent of a Deluxe this year?
Arryn, Tully, and Tyrell are considered great houses during the time period. I think adding any of them would be great. Just include a provision that these houses can play any <house name> trait char without OOH penalty.
I've heard somewhere the next deluxe box is going to be Greyjoy and that they're going to print deluxe boxes for the houses. As for the difference in number of cards… it did matter at the start, but does it really matter now with so many cards?
i woulsdnt say it matters so much but martell and greyjoy imo have weaker subthemes than the core 4 houses
where did you hear that greyjoy would be next?
I don't remember. It might be from people who weren't supposed to tell.
That bit of GJ expansion rumor was IIRC from a guy claiming he heard from a friend who was in-the-know.
So…take that with a grain o' salt.
i heard sometime ago that ffg only would have make a deluxe expansion for each card, maybe no more deluxe expansions…
I hope this its not the end of deluxe expansions, i would like to see more ccg cards.
How about a big box introducing a new faction for "the others", including additional nights watch cards.
Some spoilers!
well hopefully the sixth book comes out sometime relitivly soon and be an expansion after that, i'm assuming house arryn has to get into the picture at some point in the story, also maybe theme based around the other targarean not just danny. along with who else could become important.
martin has said mid 2014 at the earliest.
id be okay with that two years isnt to bad lol sucks though love books want him to finish ha
