There is a preview of the new WH40K 6th Edition boxed set- " Dark Vengence "- up on the GW website . It features Dark Angels vs. Chaos. The figures look great, but I'm kind of irritated that they made the SMs Chapter specific- they have a lot of DA iconography that will need to be filed off to use them as anything other than DEs, unlike the earlier boxed sets. The Chaos figs (Chosen, a Dreadnaught, and human cultists) don't have any Chapter/alignment markings. The cultists will come in very handy in Dark Heresy !

I’ve got a pre-order for at a bitz site for 60 of the Cultists. Combine that with the 20 I’ll get from the actual box and I have a whole lot’a cultists to throw at my players. Plus they’ll make good Black Crusade characters as well.

I wonder what RPG rules for a Hellbrute would be…

One of the Chosen is a very easy conversion to be a Sorceror. It should even out the pretty asymetrical power spread between the two armies (plasma everywhere on the loyalists). Might get me into the wargame if I ever scrape together the cash. 6e looks nice, and my favorite armies are Dark Eldar>Chaos>Tau>dark Angels, so that worka nicely.

I'd love to see Hellbrute rules for the RPGs. If it's not too late, they'd fit well in Tome of Blood. We also have a melee Obliterator and the dragon flyer coming, right?

I, for one, am shocked and amazed at the quality of these new plastics. On both sides of the fence every single model is amazing. I am even a little proud of them for making the SMs chapter specific. So much for the argument that they're all about money. GW would have made a killing with this set if it was more generic. Bravo for better models. Since this is on the DH forum I also feel compelled to mention that those cultists are freaking perfect for this game as well.
