I could have done it! I had Roland Banks, his Personal Story already passed, with the Key Unique Item from Lurker in his hands (the key allows you to never be delayed and can be sacrificed to enter the Other World of your choice). Daisy had read her tome and had the Lurker spell which allows you to switch one gate for a gate of your choice. An Abyss gate was open at the Esoteric Order, a Yuggoth gate at Unvisited Isle and a R'yleh gate at Independence Square. Charlie Kane had an Elder Sign, the Second Fragment of an Elder Sign and Barnabas Marsh was on the board. Finally the Ancient One was Atlach-Nacha.
It's difficult to imagine more perfect circumstances for completing the Mission in Roland possessed, For the Greater Good. Tragically he only got almost halfway through it, because midgame the Terrible Experiment came out. On it was the Servitor of the Outer Gods and an enhanced Leng Spider, and after a gate opened at the Science Building the Star Vampire quickly moved out to guard it. Our weapons were non-existent and we failed the Experiment at the same time horrendous rolling saw too many gates open. So we lost, and I fear a better chance for passing this mission will never come to us. *sigh*I" suppose that's Arkham. Builds your hopes up with one hand and crushes them with the other
