Is there a release date yet?

If their answer is correct, it puts the currently rumored release date of Wednesday, September 12th in doubt. It's STILL listed as "on the boat".

not neccesarily… it will be "on the boat" until they have begun shipping (as the next step is "shipping to suppliers"). So it could be that on the day they begin shipping they change this, but until that date the information shown is correct.

Although….of course they ARENT displayed correctly and Kalar is, sadly, wrong. The core still show a Q2 release!

I understand. My point is even if it's "off the boat" today, it will probably not get to distributers and then to the LGS in two days.

Just saw on Amazon from the supplier they have (Funagain games) fulfilling orders, that items will be released Sept 19. Not sure if that means they can ship on the 19th or what.

I'm dying to get mine from my LGS where I preordered two months ago!

Odd, when I just looked at amazon the supplier was Cool Stuff (with no release date noted).

I have looked on the Fantasy Flight website, and they have it as "available soon." So that doesn't really give us a date either.

So with that said, I have no idea when it will be in distribution.

I posted this above early when the Amazon date was first mentioned. So, I don't think that date means much.

I also emailed Miniature Market over the weekend and this was their reply this morning:

The last we heard from Fantasy Flight was that X-Wing would be releasing sometime in September however we have not been given an exact release date. Also, as long as the expansions release at the same time as the X-Wing base game all orders will be shipped out at the same time.

So I'm not sure how firm anything is yet, except availability sometime in September which FFG confirmed when I emailed them. Here is what FFG said when I emailed them a week or so ago:

Thank you for your excitement for X-Wing. This game should hit stores mid- to late-September. We will also be selling this game on our website at the same time.

understood. However Target list it as already available to buy and collect in store in some of their indianapolis shops. Clearly then it is already shipping to stores! once again, Kalar seems to be either misinformed (or just not telling the truth!)

Heidelberger claims it'll be in stores in calendar week 39 all throughout Germany - I guess it'll take one or two more days to Switzerland. So I'll have to wait another two weeks for my copy.
