I noticed that Target stores will be carrying the product. They already have stickers up in their board game area for the product. They also don't know when they'll be receiving it.

This lack of a definitive release date is frustrating in the extreme. But it's not confined just to FFG. I've been waiting on the expansion for Super Dungeon Explore from Soda Pop Miniatures and it's the same vague September'ish time frame. If they both release mid September, then my Birthday on the 27th is going to be a very happy one.

I have looked on the Fantasy Flight website, and they have it as "available soon." So that doesn't really give us a date either.

So with that said, I have no idea when it will be in distribution.

I am wondering about the dice as well. My friend and I placed a big order with Cool Stuff Inc, and I really don't want the order held up waiting for the dice pack.

All the X-wing items except the dice have the "on a boat" icon. Maybe I should change my order.

I solved that problem by ordering 2 starters.

My preorder is going to get hung up because I ordered the dice? In the words of GOB Bluth, "Oh cOme ON!"

I should have pick this up at Gen Con. I figure since it was there it would be in the stores soon. I would rather support my gamestores in my area.

If you look at the "upcoming" section off of the main site, under miniatures. In the lower right corner there icons representing the state of the product.

Seriously? They have the game and expansions coming, but not the dice? This has to be an error or something they overlooked on the site. I will contact them and see if I get a response.

it may well have already docked… FFG arent great at updating their 'upcoming' page, as evidenced by the fact that the core still shows for a Q2 release…

I think it's 'on the boat' until it clears customs, which FFG doesn't have any control over.

Esvedium Games, the sole FFG supplier to the UK just anounced that, based on news just recieved from FFG it will be available on the 22nd-23rd of September in the UK. FFG seemed to suggest in an response to an email I sent them a while back that the release would be simultaneous in all countries…. so hopefully this date sticks (even though its a long way off yet!)

Unless there was something in the LFL contract that specified it, I can't imagine what benefit there would be in a true simultaneous release. Even at that haven't they already "broken" that by releasing product at GenCon and Celebration 6? I suspect that simultaneous in this instance just means the first shipment isn't designated for US distribution only followed by an international shipment. But stranger things have happened. I'm just hoping for earlier in the US because I've got a convention on the 13th…. I'd like to play there with more than the bit I picked up at GenCon.

September 24th in the US. Confirmed with trustworthy LGS who is also an FFG premiere store. That's a lot later than I expected.

So, I finally heard from them. This is what they said about the dice (well, a generic response about the correctness of the upcoming page). I am going to cancel the preorder I have in at miniaturemarket because they hold all items until the whole order is in.

Short answer: yes, you should be able to cancel those preorders.
