The topic says it all.
Is there a release date yet?
Yes. It is:
Soon ™.
I heard mid- to late-September. I could be wrong though.

They're killing me. Seriously. All the updates, all the GenCon/Celebration reports, and it will be another couple of weeks?
All I know is that at my preferred online shop is on the verge of selling out all their preorder quantities and I haven't placed my order yet.

I get $10 "fun money" at the end of each month, so the longer I wait to place my order the more I'll be able to purchase. I actually had $100 set aside for this game back in the early summer, but the long wait wore on me, and I caved when I saw the cool new LEGO sets.
What are you waiting for?

Exactly! Why are you waiting? Who's your favorite online shop, and how can you tell they're almost sold out?
I think FFG operate on their own version of 'Valve time'

Waiting on a little B-Day money… is the why. Miniature Market is becoming my new fave and they list inventory levels on their site. In the case of preorders, it's the quantities that their suppliers have promised them.
With the prices they're selling for and the buzz this game has been getting since Gencon, things are moving fast. Last I checked, Y-Wings are sold out and everything else is rapidly approaching zero. I might have to wait for their next replenishment if I'm not able to get my order in this week.

My local shop is unreliable at best. I don't want to have to wait forever to get stuff if they didn't order any.
How long does it usually take FFG to put out a 2nd run when initial stocks sell out?

Wow, I never noticed the stock numbers in there. I did my order through them a few weeks ago (and another through my LGS).
In response to AGASHAMIRV, you can probably order direct from FFG if your LGS doesn't get it. I'd hope they keep some for themselves to sell!
After writing Miniatures Market customer service, I was told I could modify my existing order over the phone; I JUST got off the phone after doing so. I now have coming one of each item in the initial release - and my Shipping didn't go up (which was the intent).
BUT, I also asked the gal if THEY had any visibility on a release date; she said "they're hearing" mid-September, but nothing certain. So, they know no more than we do as of now.
Oh, and the Y-Wings are out of stock, for those of you who don't have an order in yet - and everything else is fading fast.

I just want to add that they ran out of Y-wings about two weeks ago as well, but it seems they negotiated with FFG to get even more stock (after which I added another Y-wing to my order). Now maybe they can increase they're starting stock again, or maybe that's all they'll be able to get with the first printing. Can't really say for sure.

Yeah, there were only 5 of the Y-Wings left when I placed my order. I got in just under the wire.
The great thing about Miniature Market is you can ask them to hold your order and just drive by and pick it up. Instant gratification!

According to Amazon.com, it will be released September 19.

And they didn't even have the item on there a couple of days ago. I'd take that as a pretty solid date.
I don't think this is being filled by Amazon. There is no free prime shipping option, and it says "Ships from and sold by Funagain Games. If it was Amazon I'd be more optimistic. But, unless Funagain Games knows something no other game place knows (including miniature market) it may just be a date they are posting and plan to change if necessary. But, it would be great if that was the correct date as it's only about 3 weeks away.
Edit: I just sent Fun Again Games a message re: the matter… I'll let you know what I find out.
Never Ever buy a FFG game from Amazon, at least if you want it quickly. I think FFG fills their Amazon orders slowly so that they don't have to compete with Amazon for online sales.
After receiving two preorders several months late, I never order games through Amazon any more. And I've seen countless wrong estimated shipping dates on there, too - so I assume they pull numbers out of their proverbial behinds.

Miniature Market is in the St. Louis Metro area. But seriously folks, free shippping for orders over a $100.00 I believe, and how can you not go over $100 on this? For those of you that went to GENCON and C-VI thanks for the reports (said with much jelousy). There is a core group here that is anticipating giving this a try. It'll give us a break from Trek (A Call to Arms-Star Fleet).

I ordered from Gameslore. For me in the Netherlands they are the cheapest option. But my order did go over € 100,-- :-)
I placed my pre-order with miniaturemarket yesterday and noticed that they had incresed the availability on the expansion ships. I noticed a few days ago too that they had "sold out" of the Y-Wing and were close on others so I was worried about that as someone mentioned earlier. Just wanted to say they increased those so hopefully when it's released they'll get plenty. But the dice… anyone know if these are coming later than the initial shipments of the core set and expansions?
Yeah… I checked late last night and they had added 50 units to all of the X-Wing products' Inventory. Sounds like their suppliers are giving them another increase. FFG is going to make a killing on this and Netrunner the way they've been selling starting at Gencon and now as preorders. Methinks their purchase of the Star Wars License is paying off in spades.
