Basically can Electro-Graft/Tattoos be removed?

My group has been captured and I intend to launch them into Tattered Fates however they all invested in Electro-Graft tattoos on their left palm denoting their Inqusitorial status. At the time I liked the idea as it's fairly subtle and I lliked the imagery of it being on their left hand. However a big part of the adventure is that they're stripped of any sign of their Inquisitorial status.

How would one go about removing said grapfts/tattoos and would any negatives, such as -10 to fine manipulation and weapon/ballistic attacks with that hand until they received adequate medical care be appropriate?

Electro-graft = Grim Dark USB Port

Electoo = glowing fancy tattoo that can be activated at will, or only seen on a certain frequency of light, always on or something else.

The former doesnt need to be removed, the latter could be, but it could leave scarring to remove the wires and stuff, you could say it was simply de-activated if you want to make it easy on the PCs, otherwise they may have scarring all on the same place….

Does it need to be removed? So they have tattoos saying they are Inquisitorial acolytes, so what? Why would anyone believe somone with a tattoo? The people on Quaddis have no way of verifying that the tattoos are legitemate.
