Any info on World's?

No, though I have tried to email Stuart directly, and sadly, have gotten no response.

I really need to know soon in order to be able to make it. Come on FFG what is happening on each day….

Also their is a Days Inn 2 min walk, which is only 75 a night..

PS: I hope the prizes are better then regionals…which where sadly better then GenCon. O you won the melee here is a playmate…gratz…o sure we gave regional winners house cards, playmates, pictures…but….

Id gladly take a playmate if i win, but only if i can pick the year and month.

I stayed at the Days Inn for the last two years (when it was the original Days of Ice and Fire - same time period), and FYI it is a total dive. The Radisson (I think is the name) is across the street and much nicer…but I don't spend a lot of time in the hotel. Some good stories have came out of the people who go to the continential breakfast at the Days Inn (who live in the hotel I believe).

We usually shut down the bar down the street, so after-parties are rare (we are goners by then). :)

So if one were to book with the intent on being in the same hotel as other players, should one choose the Radisson? Is it known?

The raddisson is going for $113 a night at the moment. There is however a courtyard marriot and a hilton garden in only slight further away that are both rated much higher and are both less than $100.

There is also a super 8 showing for $48 but it was rated lower than the days.

All prices via hotels.com

The super 8 is so bad some one posted picks of crack pipes on the ground outside their room. No super 8.

The hilton garden is a 2 hour walk…a little to far. Need to be able to make it back after drinking.

So that leaves me with the though that we stay at one of these:

  • Holiday Inn Express has good ratings and is a 17 min walk, free good breakfeast ~117 a night.
  • Days Inn not the greatest reviews but only 2 min walk free breakfeast ~77 a night.
  • Radission 2 min walk, ok reviews, no breakfeast ~ 125 a night
  • Courtyard Marriot 22 min walk, good reviews, no breakfeast ~120 a night
  • (prices from their web sites i am sure we could get slightly better prices…)

Honestly i will almost never be in my room so i am considering the days inn but will stay at the place the largest group of AGoT players are gone be. ;)

Im all for a two min walk. The breakfast at those places is usually **** anyways. Buying a 50c muffin is worth not walking a mile.

For clarification im voting for raddison, after staying at a $50 days inn for tennessee id rather not repeat that. I had to shower and brush my teeth in brown water.

I think if we all stay at one of the two hotels (Days Inn or Radission) we will be set for the parties. They are accross the street from each other so people will be able to go play cards at either as they like. ;)

When you say a two min walk by the way, is that a two min walk to the bar or to the tourney location (or both)?

I booked at the Days Inn. I know it will be a dive, but I really don't intend on being there much.
