FAQ - Anyone Else Notice …

By any2cards, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Anyone else notice that the FAQ has a date of August 3rd on it, and yet it doesn't even come close to answering all of the questions that were posted on August 1 or August 2, left alone all of the other days.

I guess I am somewhat disappointed that so much has been left unanswered.

It would be nice if FFG could start a new FAQ sticky that includes just the unanswered questions post FAQ V1, so that we don't have to keep going back and re-reading/re-posting everything so that we make sure our questions are ultimately answered. I think I am going to send something suggesting same to ffgmark would originally posted the sticky.

My assumption is that the forum moderator(s) collected questions, compiled a draft FAQ, sent it to a designer for review & amendment, then circulated that version for final approval before releasing it to the public. I would guess that the process will begin again now that this version has been published. Starting a new sticky thread sounds like a good idea to me.

People complain about FFG not properly proofing & testing, then complain that responses take too long.

I'm also guessing that they've learned better than to answer forum posts on the fly, or get dragged into debates here.

I noticed that the FAQ includes answers to seven out of the eleven questions that I listed in a single post in the FAQ thread, so I don't think timing is the only consideration in which questions got answered.

Probably not. Either (a) they didn't think your question needed a FAQ, or (b) they haven't come up with a definitive answer yet, or © there were figures or obstacles between them and your post that blocked LOS to four of the questions.
