"Put into Play" effects.

By Hamster Friend, in 1. AGoT General Discussion

Aside from Dragon Lore and Manning the City Walls, what other cards does this game have that let you 'cheat' a character into play without paying up? Not looking for from-hand in particular, whipping something out from the deck or dead/discard pile is good too.

Note that I'm not looking for simple cost reducers, but something that really lets you drop something without paying the gold cost. Even temporarily bringing them into play like with Ambush from the Plains counts as well. Tutoring and putting into play like At the Gates is extra good for purposes of what I'm looking for.

There's a LOT of this. Targ's Ambush mechanic is a put into play effect, and they have a bunch of other cards that do this too: CS Khal Drogo, The Titan's Bastard, Ambush from the Plains, To Be A Dragon, Horseback Archers… the list goes on.

A popular plot that does this is At the Gates, a neutral attachment is Pale Steel Link, a neutral character is Varamyr Sixskins. Stark has LoW Catelyn Stark, GJ has the old Aeron Damphair and Naga's Hill, Bara has To Be A Stag, Lanni has Qyburn. And that's just off the top of my head, there's a ton more.

I suggest you head over to the cardgamedb Deckbuilder and search for the word "put" in the search field "Text".

Should "full text search" be checked or unchecked? Exactly what does that box do anyway?

Nobody but Darksbane knows. Maybe not even he himself does.

It doesn't matter if it's checked or unchecked. It used to be that the deckbuilder only found three-letter-words when the box was unchecked, for some reason. Since the last update, the status of that box doesn't seem to make any difference.
