next deluxe expansion

So when this game came out they released one deluxe expansion midway through each battle pack by either design or coincidence but now they hasn't been one for 3 cycles and I was starting to wonder in there would be another one anytime soon. Also I wanted to get my idea for a "new" concept that involves quest that I sorta got from chaos in the old world and it is make one or possibly more just only allow one per deck "super-quest" for each faction that would give an alternate win condition based off your race that would go something like this

Dwarf while a unit is queting here place a resource everytime u play a developement after 15 resources are aqumilated your win the game

Chaos while a unit is questing here place a resource every time an opposing unit is corrupted after 15 resources are aqumilated you win the game

The idea is the theme should be based off the faction and is just to possibly make other win conditions similar to how chaos in the old world has the Gods point tracker

I have also been wondering about when a new deluxe expansion might be coming out. I have hopes that it will be this year. I think the perfect deluxe expansion would be the Bretonians taking their holy war to the desert where they fight the Tomb Kings. Would be an awesome expansion. Then, the Ogre Kingdom could get an expansion in the same way that the Skaven did by having cards released in battlepacks. I would love so much to be able to make an Ogre Kingdoms deck.

Now, as far as your idea for quests…I really like the idea of epic quests that give alternative win conditions. But, they would need to really be balanced well. With your above ideas, we would see a lot of new Dwarf/Wood Elf decks.

I'd love to see a deluxe expansion with official rules for 3 and 4 player games. It could have all kinds of cards specifically for these multiplayer games. I also like that idea mentioned above concerning super quests with alternate win conditions. I agree with Doc9 though in that they would have to be VERY carefully balanced and playtested up the wazoo.

although i like the idea of multiplayer games having cards specifically for them seems like they wouldnt be usuable in two player games and therefore only good for he sideboard not your main deck. That would be a serious flaw

What would you really do though that would make a card only usable in multiplayer? I pretty much only play WHI in 3-5 player games with house rules, and some of the cards right now seem extra strong to me in MP, like anything that says "all opponents" or "whenever an opponent", but those cards are still good in 1v1. I guess you could have a 2v2 format with cards that say "target ally", but it would be just as easy to make that "target player".

What types of multiplayer rules do you guys play with?

My friends and I usually do 2v2, each team burns 4 total zones to win. We tried a 3v3 "Emperor"-style format a couple times, where you had to burn all 3 zones from the emperor on each team to win.

Entropy, those are the kinds of cards that would be perfect for a multiplayer expansion. Cards that say "all opponents" or "whenever an opponent". Still worthy of consideration in standard matches but especially attractive choices for multiplayer. That would blow if there was a multiplayer expansion with cards useable in only that format. But an expansion with enough multiplayer themed cards in it to really make it obvious what the expansion its geared toward, similar to the Capital cycle battle packs had several cards for each race besides the main theme of each pack.

I agree, I was just commenting that I didn't think there was much to worry about in terms of them making cards that were only usable in multiplayer, since I'm not sure how you would do that.

Really though, would they even need to have a multiplayer expansion? It seems like something that could just be included in a FAQ.

what do You think about deluxe expansion with NEUTRAL LEGENDS and new uniqe quest-type EVENTS cards from Warhammer "history" having influence on both players? expansion could be also developed around some card types and traits making them more useful in playable theme deckbuilding ;-)

some good multiplayer, team and/or draft rules should be also cool, becouse current are rather unplayable…

I'm not very familiar with Warhammer lore, but I think neutral legends would be cool. I also would like it if they did more to carry some of the deck themes from one set to another. Some of the keywords are not supported very well beyond their introductory set.

yeah, Bretonnia, also Tilea, Estalia, Kislev even Amazons could be nice as neutral cards for order and for destro we can get more ogres, some norse berserkers, chaos dwarves or just mercenaries… There is some Warhammer "history" and lore which can be used:

A bretonnian expansion would be my vote.

Or bring back the dogs of war units. (i have just started playing this game so they might have already been included into the games. rendering this response moot….oh halflings)

I would be quite happy to see Chaos Dwarves once in a while, although it would be enough to include them as chaos cards with an own subtype.

The next deluxe expansion could introduce some new mechanic regarding ships or the like. There already are some cards with the ship subtype in the game.

oh Yeah! a ship expansion like dreadfleet expansion .

They had a dwarf, empire, vampire counts, high elf, Chaos Dwarf and Skaven ships.

and they could always use the ships in man o war

I'd like to see them making more actual official factions instead of it being just neutral. I'd also like to see Chaos Dwarfs added in some fashion.

I argued for that years ago when Skaven were being added to the game but sadly it is not something that is likely to happen.

I love the alternate win condition idea but I think a straight up win would be a little much.

Maybe if it were something that added to the win, like completely burning a zone rather than a straight victory.

Like if the dwarves had a quest to build a "suoer bomb" and once you get 15, or whatever ammount, of counters, burn a zone.

I would also LOVE to seen true multiplayer in this game, with a mechanic that drives the multiplayer much like AGoT has.

i was thinking more like if you ever played yugioh in the beggining there was a few alternate wins likle exodia and the final message board sure most people wouldnt use em but you could build a ddeck around a new win condition
