Cheating ejection

By lyrralt, in Blood Bowl: Team Manager

When you are ejected for cheating do you get to keep your star points for that player? I ask because the direction booklet does not subtract the ejected player's score on page 14 of the instruction manual.

Page 13 is what you want. First, under Reveal Cheating Tokens is Ejection, which is of course resolved first. It says to place the player in the discard pile. Only after all the cheating token reveal and resolve does the Determine Winner stuff, which specifically states you add up Star Power:

"To determine the winner of a matchup during the Scoreboard phase,
calculate the total Star Power for each team at the matchup as follows:
• Standing players contribute their standing Star Power.
• Downed players contribute their downed Star Power.
• Cheating tokens contribute their Star Power.
• The ball contributes two Star Power to the team with the ball carrier." (p. 13)

Discarded players are no longer at the matchup, thus they don't count.

The example on Page 14 is correct. The Beastman was ejected, but the Chaos Warrior had a cheating token which gave him 3 Star Points, taking the Chaos total to 6.
