Today or tomorrow would have been last friday / saturday.

Then today again from Marc Larson:

>Stef,

>We do not have weekend staff here, nor can we ship over the weekend. I just saw the warehouse with a large number of beta book boxes. It should ship out >today.

So the first responce I got last Friday telling me it should ship on Friday or Saturday was a lie since they dont work on weekends.

I supplied my exact order number and asked for a update and this is the best answer I can get, it should ship today, well I heard that before.

Mine has shipped. At least my email says so. No eta, but hey, it'll be here in a week or two. I'm happy.

He didn't lie.

Don't assume business work on weekends.

Businesses don't ship on Saturday or Sunday.

When I tell a customer today or tomorow on a Friday, and I have, tomorow means the next business day. When some of my more dense customers, who for some reason think I run a retail shop at the mall, say "Oh, I can pick that up on Saturday?" I respond by telling them "No, we are not open on the weekends, I meant the next business day, Monday."

Sorry I run an online buisness and I do mail on Saturdays.

But either way it wasn't sent out today either, how do I go about asking for a refund?

Well, the day isn't actually over, but if you want a refund, I suppose you'd start by emailing customer service.

I got the today or tomorrow speech earl on Thursday. Tomorrow became today.

I got my email that its shipped earlier today as well. Looking forward to it. Now… the next mission is to invade an Imperial Supply depot for these special Star Wars dice because I am sure one set won't be enough.

Yay! Got mine today, seven days after ordering it. Hooray!

You can call customer service and get the sales department; they will certainly cancel your order if you wish. I had a friend of mine order a copy so I purchased it for him, but he opted to cancel and wait for the book to arrive at our FLGS. I called customer service and talked with one of the sales guy and he cancelled that order for me over the phone.

Yancy

it seems that my package took 2 days to get from chicago to heathrow in the UK and then its taken 4 days to get from Heathrow to the international sorting depot, then to the national sorting depot, it looks like I will be waiting another day for it…..grrrrrr………

Ordered mine on the 21st, and just got an email saying it has been shipped. It only took an entire week.

Yet somone else who ordered after me and already got an email saying their book shipped.

I ordered on the 23rd and just got my shipping notice.

Another person who ordered after me and got their shipping notice already.

I tried calling but only got a recorded message and I also e-mailed them telling them I want my order canceled, because this is just poor buisness. I am happy for those of you that have at least heard that your orders where shipped but as a company it shows they have no clear cut method for shipping.

I have heard the excuses that Gencon held them up from shipping orders, and if that was the case the orders should still have been filled as they came in but just today two people who ordered after me got notices that their orders have been filled. As a customer this shows me they do not need me to buy their product.

Then don't buy it. Simples, eh?

I've checked the Parcelforce website, and their estimated time for delivery is the 30th. :( I was hoping for it tomorrow, but it looks like that was wishful thinking; the real kicker is that I'm working 14 hours on that day, so I won't even get to read it until the 31st. >_<

I order the 18th around 10:00 am EST and my book was shipped on the 22 and arrive today. I used Priority since it was the only option available to me when I order.

It is weird that order the books were shipped. If there is a patter it isn't obvious. That said this is my first experience buying directly from FFG and if this is the way they always manage the shipment of products I think it will be the last.

I will say this I finally got through to shipping and spoke to the shipping manager.

About and hour later a rep from FFG returned my call and said they were sorry my order slipped through the cracks and said they were sorry for giving me the go to "it should ship today" answer. They made sure they had my address correct, promised to throw in some extra star wars stuff for the extra long weight, and told me that it would most likely ship out tomorrow because of the late hour of the day we spoke on the phone.

I received my e-mail saying it was mailed out.

That's good customer service.

I ordered mine on the 21st. It was shipped on the 21st, and arrived yesterday. Now it's a toss between reading and working. ;)

Mine was posted on the 22nd, and has (according to USPS tracking) been sat in Chacago since the 24th… beginning to wonder if I'll ever get the **** thing. Not impressed…

An international order, I assume? I had the same issue with the USPS tracking not updating after it was shipped out of the country (which is what happens in Chicago). Maybe you can track it through your local postal service.

(As an aside, the USPS tracking did eventually update to show the full process as well. Just slow I guess).

Thanks for the info, and yes I'm in the UK. It's not the length of time taken to get here thats the problem. It's being left in the dark with the complete lack of tracking information for 5 days. Why have a tracking number when you can't track your package?

I assume I'd use the same tracking number when checking with Royal Mail / Parcel Force? Of not, how would I track a package that was originally collected by a different postal company?

Any advice would be most welcome.

It should be the same tracking number, yes.

If it turns out that it really has been sitting on an air strip in Chicago for five days, you might be able to contact FFG support and make them poke the USPS to see what's what.

Thanks again for the information. I'll check the tracking number with Parcelforce when I get home :)

Good luck!

Just got home from work and checked the tracking number with both Parcelforce and Royal Mail. They have no record of this tracking number. So on the off chance I checked with USPS again and (no surprises) it still states that it's sat in Chicago.

I am rapidly losing my patience.
