returning to hand / leaving play ?

By Sagefoxwood, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

a unit being returned to your hand counts towards leaving play dose it not ?

and another question would "Promenade of Malice" dark elf support card trigger from cards being discarded from the top of an opponents deck?

Yes, the out of play zones from the FAQ (which, btw, you can find in the "support" section. It answers a lot of my rules questions):

Leaving Play (v1.7)
A card leaves play when it goes from an in play zone to an out of play zone, such as back into a hand, deck, or discard pileā€¦

As for your other question, I think you are correct. I also think that's what's so badass about promenade of malice. If you have some card, let's even say a legend, that's giving me a hard time, but I make you discard five cards and one of them is another copy of the legend, then I can take your legend and put it on the bottom of your draw pile. That's wicked, in my mind, just because of the psychological sadness someone will experience if that actually works. Then you, as the Dark Elf player, can laugh at their tears.

hahaha so true and thank you for the response, at the moment im trying to make a very nasty deck around the raiders / black ark's / pleasure cults and of course jealous eyes to take the tokens from cults and put them onto my arks and agent of malekith to slow down their getting rid of cults and other cards to help out :P

it will be a fairly Unit'less deck but i plan on being able to pump my units up to the point of being undefendability

and with the off chance of being able to rid myself of worrisome cards with promenade :)

Ooh, I hadn't even thought of how well Jealous Eyes synergizes with the Black Arks and Pleasure Cults! I'm so gonna make that deck happen.

Remember that you need quite a lot of units to get full use of the Promenade (provded you have lot's of ways of getting cards in your opponents discard pile). Murderlust (from Portent of Doom) fits nicely there, though (and you can always sacrifice Agent of Malekith, so it's win-win).

Cheers,

H

A Portent of Doom spoiler just around the corner.

Seems a bit weak on starters, this deck. Unless you're willing to put Shades or Frenzied Witch Elf in Kingdom, I guess. Murderlust will work wonders with the Wight Lord though!

well i planed on getting slave pen early along with my quest playing agent to slow down the quest gaining tokens and sacing them to pen

for resources

and i started to toy around with the idea of adding in the liber mortis to be able to sac a waight lord on each turn :3
