2 rule questions

By Uzzeh, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi all,

I'm new to Descent and these forums and have two small rule questions that I'm not quite certain about:

1) I noticed that for most overlord cards there are 2 copies in the deck. When buying a new one do you get them both or do you have to pay the experience for both of them seperately? And how does this count to the limit for level 2-3 cards?

2) For the heroes, when using an ability without an arrow in front of it does it count for an action or not? The example is prayer of healing from the disciple, there is no skill arrow in front of the text so does this mean he can do 2 actions (move/attack) and also use prayer of healing once, since he only has to exhaust this card?

Thanks,

Uzzeh

1) You get one at a time and they count separately toward the limit. Basically you can either buy one of each of the level 1 cards, or if you don't like one as much, buy two of the other, and then you can get the level 2 card.

2) Yes, a skill or ability counts as an action if and only if there is that arrow icon. Anything without the icon can be done in addition to the two actions.
