Gotta say I was starting to get excited about the coop, the pvp has been done to death for star wars but cant say if i like or dont like it cuz i havent yet played it. I will definitely give it a shot and if its fun and the rules arent as cryptic as some of the LOTR rules then it should be fun (my friends are always arguing over card rules lol). The living card game part still is appealing to me, but the no solo play option is a bummer. That was one of the main things I was looking forward too with the new game.
GenCon News - Update: It's now Competitive! (pic)
I also hope they will give us a few factions for multi player, smugglers and gangsters would be cool.

Okay, quick rules question:
Are there separate zones for the starships, or can a spice runner defend against a star destroyer?
Please, help us out, GenCon-ites!
Zones are not separate. In general though, starships seem to be better at damaging objectives than units while characters seem to be better at damaging units than objectives.
Great! Thanks!
Another question (but don't feel obligated to answer right away; wait until it's convenient for you).
1) It looks like you could potentially run out of cards by turn 9. What happens if you have no cards left to draw?

It looks like the game does include a Smugglers & Spies faction and a Scum & Villains faction. However, with only 4 decks in the core set, I'm assuming those factions will be built upon in a subsequent expansion similar to elves and dark elves in Warhammer Invasion.

I actually have no idea, it didn't come up yesterday, though I was actually wondering the same thing. I'll try to stop by this afternoon and ask. (Sorry Bout the crazy embedded quotes, posting from my iPod)
