Any idea on how long we are expected to keep running with this single catch all forum? Some organization would be welcome.
Or someone could point me in the direction of a well organized forum already in action by fans of this game.

the boardgamegeek forum is pretty easy to keep on top of
Yep, the GBG X-Wing section really puts this place to shame.
I don't think this place has enough daily posts to warrant sub forums yet. At LotR it got to the point where half way through the day your recent post would be on page two. By that point, sub forums made sense so that information didn't get lost so quickly. But hey, if they put them up, I won't complain. It'll just get things ready for when all the rules questions start flowing in.
I think I can live with the FFG forum as one of my X-Wing subforums, on the same level as the rules forums, general forums, and all the others on BGG
It would probably be good to get them set up. With the game coming out soon, there's likely to be more posts, and it would be nice to keep them organized. We've already got duplicate threads on one topic on the first page, and the game isn't even out yet.

Yeah, what's up with that? It seems people like to talk more than they like to read…

Well in my experience, the search feature doesn't function very well, so it can be very frustrating to thoroughly check whether a topic has been discussed or not, so I'm a little forgiving of that. But if they're not even trying to search, well, yeah! Shame on them!

That reinforces my point about needing subforums. When the game comes out, there's going to be even more threads, and it will make it harder for people to search to see if the topic already exists. Or they'll be less likely to.
Anyone feeling different about this. FFG, I'm looking at you.

I'm still feeling the same. As in, still thinking we need sub-forums.
If we keep bumping, one day they might notice.

Would be nice. Seems like there isn't much attention given to the forums here.
Maybe if we keep bumping, they will give us Star Wars avatars, too.

This is just a ploy to get more free bumps, isn't it?

Actually, that's a really good idea. Wasn't what I had in mind, but it's a good idea.
In reality, "Wesa do ussn part" was the first thing to come to my mind when I read the post before mine, so I figured I'd post it to do my part in bumping the thread. I mean, sub forums can be a pain to navigate through, but at least it's less intimidating than a whole page of new messages, so we might as well try to get subforums . . . installed? implemented? (I don't know the right word to use.)
some sticky topics wouldn't kill us either, that way we can actually have ongoing conversations instead of numerous threads discussing the same topics.
Well, well. Subforums it is!
Please be aware that we now have subforums, so now we must be responsible and post in the appropriate sections.
Yippeeee!
Thank you FFG Webmaster for creating basic subforums, but your work is not done yet.
So are they going to move relevant threads or do we just have to start from scratch in the new sub forums nobody seems to realize exist yet?

I doubt it. It didn't happen for LotR. I think it's up to us to just start using them from now on. In two months, I'm sure all the previous threads that belong in other subcategories will be dead.
Well… most of use don't have the game in our sweaty little hands yet and those that do probably haven't had a chance to get too many games in the 24hrs. So the Battle Reports and organized play subtopics probably won't start filling in until next week after folks have had the weekend to play.
The Rules Questions, we can start doing. But it all looks like DIY for now.

WTG, FFG!
Thanks for the subforums!
Keep up the good work!
