Component Question (Galactica Damage)

By VerdatPagan, in Battlestar Galactica

I had one quick question about the damage to Galactica. As stated in the rulebook, if Galactica has 6 tokens on it at any one time, the Cylons win the game. I have damage tokens for everything but sickbay, the brig, comms, and the research lab, as well as one for fuel and one for food.

The rulebook says if the food or fuel is drawn as a random token, it is resolved and removed from the game. The question I have is simply whether or not this counts as a "permanent" damage token to Galactica. We've been playing it so that it isn't (As the rules say to resolve and then remove), but I just wanted to make sure, as the loss of either resource should be punishment enough. If we're wrong though, does that mean only 5 locations have to be damaged for the Cylons to win? It also seems weird they can only lose the food or fuel once per game due to attacks.

I wouldn't have thought to ask this, but over the past week or so I've noticed some posts about people having incorrect cards in som of their games, so I'm mostly asking just to verify that I have the correct tokens (as well as a rule verification). That being said, do I also ahve the correct damage tokens?

Thanks,

Pretty sure that you have the correct components ..

I get the impression that all 6 "room" damage tokens need to be on the board for humans to lose the game.

This makes a loss this way highly unlikely .. unless your Engineers are toasters and aren't repairing the ship.

I also read it that you need 6 tokens on the ship.

As for the resource damage tokens, they're just like the civilian ships that you remove from the game. The fact you remove them from the game represents that there are only so many people living on Galactica, and so much food stored there.

You play it correctly, and have all the tokens you need. Rulebook has a component list that lists 8 galactica damage tokens.
