Because nobody else would make it and take it seriously

Kim. If you think about it, his entire mechanic is basically damage pumps and relying on kick attacks. Sounds kind of stupid to shove that into the current meta, and to be honest, I don't think I would bring this deck to any major tournament unless I was just going to have some fun (i.e. one that doesn't cost more than $10 in travel costs to get to and from). Of course, I'm often in a position where I wind up playing non-serious games, and also just randomly playing with friends, so this deck is basically just my way of having fun when I don't have anything better to do. (Like all my players saying JUDGE at the same time. Assholes.) For reference, the deck runs solely off of Chaos, is Block 3 compatible and I've only used it once but it performed quite nicely.

The most obvious tactic here is just to get as many attacks out as I can and pump them as much as possible, but Snap Kick is the ace in the hole. It basically means that as long as I don't get totally swamped by control, I only really need to block half the time. I'm pretty happy with the attack lineup, but I really want to find room for a couple of Fire Kicks, so I might drop a couple Snap Kicks... I also might drop Soul-Piette in favour of Sazan (for less vulnerability to BR and just to have a low kick added to the mix), and Crack Counter could really make the deck run nicely, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet... so we'll see whether or not I need to pump that up to 4 copies.

But the main thing I'm worried about is foundation base. I am absolutely keeping all of Kim's damage boosts, since even if they don't apply situationally, they can still be used for Kim's main damage pump. That leaves me with the quandry of figuring out exactly what I should have less or more of... Soul of Ling-Sheng Su comes in handy by both being a 6 check and making checks easier, but being the only 6 check, maybe I'm thinking too highly of it. I also think I could maybe drop to 2 British Subjects, although it could really help me on the kill turn. Been thinking about having more Trapped in a Nightmare, but I can't find a 4th lol...

So, what would you guys suggest? Keep in mind that I don't really have to compete with the current meta, although it would be nice to work towards that.

(Like all my players saying JUDGE at the same time. Assholes.)

-halo appears over my head- I thought we stopped doing that :P

Anyways, i'm not sure how I feel about both oral dead and instant success. Yes you can negate then destroy, but I can't think of many forms outside of Olcadan's. Which don't get me wrong, is an excellent choice to negate/destroy.

I do like that soul of sheng long card though, I would probably up that to 4 copies for delicious 6 check.

I like having both of those Lord Raptor foundations because there are some forms which I definitely want to get rid of as soon as possible, and others which are not as annoying but also won't see constant play, so I'm ok with just negating them every turn. Also, I don't think I can negate then destroy... I'll have to ask about that one... but I think that it would be kind of a waste of resources, even though I can 8ball them back.

By the way, 8ball is the new term for Billiard Player. It'll catch on. WATCH FOR IT

-2 instant success

+2 oral dead

-4 karoake idol

+4 committment to excellence.

keeps it themed and excellent!

Nice idea BTW I'll make this deck.

Also if you get ahod of em you could use Swift justice and kim's Dojang.

They're good!

Cheers

Hanzo.

Hmm, definitely like Commitment to Excellence, I can't believe I overlooked that lol.

I don't like having too many actions in this deck though, because it's not always easy to get enough attacks out... But after I've tested the deck out a bit more, I'll consider tossing in some kind of damage boost there. Also lol @ Kim's Dojang, that thing seems so suicidal to me, but I WILL give them a shot if I get any.

Thanks for the advice.
