In the spell description it does not specify whether your strength bonus is also added to the damage of the sword. As the GM i believe your strength should not be added to it but some of my players want to argue the point. Hoping to get a concrete answer to end the debate. I know there is an Ice spell that creates a sword that explicitly states STR +2 i assume if flamign sword of rhion was meant to add strength as well it would have specified. Thanks!
WFRP 2nd Edition Flaming sword of Rhuin
It is a spell that creates a Damage 4 sword with the Impact quality and adds +1 attack. There is nothing to argue about it. If you would have to add your SB to it, the spell would say something like "you create a sword that deals SB +4 damage" (which would be over the top for a spell of difficulty 14). I guess the point arises because all melee weapons in the 2nd ed are SB+X or SB-X. Well, this one not.
On the other hand you will get better answer for topics of the second edition in http://forum.strike-to-stun.net.
