Threat from the East Errata

What is the effect of the errata?

As far as i understand

- Laughing Storm can no longer be used to avoid discards and still allows to get cards

Anything else interesting?

"When revealed, you choose one:

-Each player draws 3 cards. Each player that drew 3 cards discards 3 random cards from hand.

-Each player discards 3 random cards from hand. Each player that discarded 3 cards draws 3 cards."

Essentially, that makes the "draw, then discard" or "discard, then draw" independent for each player. If that player drew 3, he discards 3. Or, if that player discarded 3, he draws 3.

So, with TLS, the Bara player can no longer say, "Discard, then draw. Oh, wait, since I didn't discard, no one draws. You're all out 3 cards." This is because the players who did discard will get to draw, no matter what the Bara player did. However, the Bara player can still say "Draw, then discard. Oh, wait, I don't have to discard, even though I drew. So you all net 0 cards (and hit draw cap) while I net 3 cards."

But now with the errata being specific about drawing 3 cards, if a player has Golden Tooth Mines, he/she will draw 1 card from that, and only draw 2 cards from Threat from the East and not have to discard any, right?

Yes: It was always true that a pre-plot draw meant that choosing "draw, then discard" when the plot resolved would not let that player draw 3 cards, so they drew as many as they could, but then no one discarded because a player had not drawn 3. With the errata, with everything being player specific, a pre-plot draw will allow that player to draw as many as they can, but then only they will not discard (everyone else will).

No: Golden Tooth Mines is not a "pre-plot draw." The card draw from Golden Tooth Mines never comes until after all "when revealed" plot effects are resolved. You'll need some other, actual, pre-plot draw to avoid the discarding.

Bay of Ice has the same timing as Golden Tooth Mine, so it doesn't count either. King's Landing or Valyrian Steel Link can work, though.

If I understand new errata, then when I have 2 cards and first is dicard 3 a then draw 3, then I must discard 2 but I don't draw 3 because I only discarded two cards, but this only affcets me, not all players like before, correct ?

Correct. Only you didn't meet the condition of discarding 3 cards, and only you don't get to draw.
