Hi Guys
We have a multiple GM drop in drop out series of campaigns going on a the moment at the WFRP 3 Virtual RPG google group. It's a little thing we have put together called the Olde World League. The idea behind it is you have characters as part of an adventurers guild and you store them on our obsidian portal page . That way when a GM wants to run a session he posts on the boards, a player says I will play with my character stored on the obsidian portal page, GM checks it and away you go.
This way your personal character is transferable between GM's and can play in any scenario a GM wants to run. If the GM only runs one shots then you character gains experience and doesn't disappear into the void at the end of the session. He is permanently stored on the website and can "deployed" as soon as another adventure is available. Maybe your a busy guy and want to play more games but you don't have the time to play or GM a full campaign, well the Olde World League is for you! Join up, create your guy, play in a session. Your character will be stored on obsidian portal and even if you don't play again for three months you'll still be able to return and jump into a game with him, regardless of the GM running the session.
Maybe your looking for a group of people who actively play warhammer and legitimately like it. We sure do! Come pop in for a session, we'd love to have ya. Are you a GM who wants to run a scenario but lacks players in his local area. Join the League, we've got got the guys to fill your game!
The OWL at the moment has around 5 GM's at the moment and a regular group of players. At this present time we seem to managing around 1-2 games a fortnight ranging from one shots, 2-3 sessioners and even a full on episodic campaign and we're always on the look out for new members.
To join you must first join the WFRP 3 Virtual group (the link is provided up top) and be sure to say hi in the introduction thread.
You must then create and obsidian portal account (if you don't already have one) and favourite the Olde World League campaign so we can invite you in.
And now for the main topic
The Evil Campaign
Sigmar getting you down? Society too hard? How come everyone in this **** country is evil except you? Well fear not my tired adventurer because now you can be too! We have a lot of games going on at the OWL which is all well and good but I've had this itch I just couldn't scratch for a while. The more I think about the more "good" I've realised I have become. Maybe I'm sick of helping the Lord who doesn't care for me, maybe I'm a bit sick of following the laws of society, maybe I'm sick of listening to that priest tell me what a sinner I am. How bout I just go ahead and pin head hands to the door of the temple, carve a symbol of the blood god on his head and disembowel him right there.
That's right, I'm starting an evil campaign, one that you can join and particapte in! It's time you players get to see how fun it is on the dark side! Everyone else in Warhammer seems to follow chaos, why can't you?
So I've put together a mini vote at the OWL on what type of evil they want to be and we've narrowed it down to a series of choices. The campaign will follow the format of the OWL, so any players can play at any time and players won't be locked into it. It will simply be a series of loosely connected one shots. If a player can make it one session and miss the next three, no worriesl! That's what we designed the OWL to accommodate.
So after a short amount of voting we have limited down to the following. Do you want to be a group of?
Norse - who could follow several chaos gods and have some awesome inter party related hatred about which chaos god you follow. Plus smashing stuff and ****** things and sailing on a boat. Just like an evil Dovakhin! (Or my like my regular Dovakhin). You'll be like Olaf Tryggvason except you won't get to be the King of Norway.
Khorne Cultists - Recruiting bloodthirsty guys and smashing ****!! Blood! yeeeaahhh! Opposed to Tzeencht. Atilla the Hun was a fan
Tzeencht Cultists - Scheming, magic and change! Bird fetishes, squawk!!! Opposed to Khorne. Augustus Ceaser perhaps? He couldn't cast magic though but his diplomacy and intrigue was so legendary he had to have had something up his sleeve. Plus he wasn't a fan of the warmongering Marc Antony.
Nurgle Cultists - recruiting anyone! Don't need to be special to follow Nurgle. Just either be ill and wish for salvation or really into spreading misery and death. Various synonyms for pus! Opposed to Slaanesh. You'll be Jeffery Amherst, 1st Baron of Amherst! "Oh I say what was that old chap? Give them blankets laced with smallpox? Capital!" *goes outside* "I say Indian, feeling cold are you my good man? Have a blanket, there's a good fellow. God save the king!"
Slaanesh Cultists - The party god! Recruiting awesome people who like doing awesome things! King Loius XVI followed this guy, that's why the french chopped off his head. Party time! Eating lots, taking drugs, having sex, becoming perfect in what you do, falling from grace and dying horribly. Elvis anyone?
Voice your opinions here or better yet join the OWL, vote and participate here! If evil's not your thing join the OWL anyway, we have plenty of regular non evil games going. Down with Sigmar!
Your's in destruction,
