Organized Play?

By lingster, in X-Wing

How do I get organzed play at my local store?

I don't know about yours, I guess you'd have to ask them.

For mine, I did ask them, and it's tied to the number of sets they sell and the number of participants they expect. It's rare that they have enough players for a particular game (other than MtG) for organizing organized play though, so I'm not getting my hopes all too high up.

I'd like to confirm that there will be Organized Play for X-Wing, starting with the X-Wing Inaugural Tournament at Gen Con 2012, and continuing with the FFG World Championships in Roseville, Minnesota in November. ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/worlds )

The latest Game Night Kits were just announced in late July ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=3442 ), and X-Wing Game Night Kits will be available later this year. As always, the announcement will appear on our website and the FFG Organized Play website ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/organizedplay ) the moment they are ready to be ordered.

All an interested store needs to order any of our Game Night Kits is a B2B account. The B2B webstore is a private site where retailers can order FFG products directly, including all of our Game Night Kits.

We don't regularly post in the forums as these are meant for the community, but if you or your local retailer ever have questions about our Organized Play programs or Game Night Kits, including how to sign up for a B2B account, please contact [email protected] .

Thanks,

Bumping to spread scarce buried information in a rare post by an FFG staffer.

Somebody at FFG, please make this thread a "post-it note", and make it sticky.

Maybe it should be in the Organized Play subforum?
