I could have sworn that at some point during the previews in the RSS feed that there were rules for making your own characters but now I can't find them. Am I imagining things??

I believe you're imagining things. Unless you stumbled on the old D1e character creator, that did exist and I messed around with it a few times. I have yet to see a D2e character generator though.

That must be it. And since all of the 1e stuff is gone, that's why I can't find it. Thanks!!
