Ork Freebooter.

By SithDuck2, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

Atlast some things were corrected/changed really nice. Yet I still lack to see why one should waste 300 xp in Hulking Talent.

It requires that you have 50 str and 50 T. But doesnt give any bonus what so ever. Or am I to follow the Powerarmor text about hulking?

Someone here said that it gives Unnatural Strenght x2. Where do you see that? Are we following DH,DW or RT rulebooks. I really cant see why one should bother with that amount of xp just to make sure everyone else can hit you better.

Help to understanding Hulking Talent in RT. Thank you! :D

Unnatural Strength has Hulking as a Prerequisit, the same goes for Fear(1).

As of page 367 of the RT Core Rulebook your base movment is also AB+1 instead of just AB if oyu are Size(Hulking), among other things.

Thanks for the quick respone. I had kinda hoped for more with Hulking. :)

It's deliberate - Hulking exists within the advance scheme purely as a prerequisite - it's there as an extra tax on people who intend to buy the Unnatural Strength (x2) and Fear (1) advances. It doesn't hurt that it gives you extra movement distance as well.

Remember that any Ork with the intention of being a leader should think seriously about Unnatural Strength - an Ork Freebooter with Intimidate +20, Talented (Intimidate), Lissen Ta Me Cos I'z Da Biggest, Strength 50 and Unnatural Strength (x2) is one of the most effective characters for leading boarding actions and hit-and-run attacks, as he can use his high Intimidate and good Strength to command troops instead of his poor Fellowship, gets bonus Degrees of Success on opposed tests, and can command about 100 people per Test (10x his Strength Bonus of 10).
